Hawayek/Baker are official now. From top teams, Chock/Bates have been officially confirmed too. But they also have Soucisse/Firus, Smart/Diaz, Lauriault/Le Gack, Lajoie/Lagha (the most notable juniors of the "House"), Wang/Liu (at least for the summer), and I forgot which other Chinese team is going to them too, Komatsubara/Koleto, another Japanese team, and I am also forgetting the names of two other young Canadian teams (and perhaps someone else).

Still talking about not so good memories, I was really trying to wipe away that zebra costume from my mind

A pity that you're trying so hard to forget it, as there is such a beautiful story behind it (including the orange-blue sleeves) and the program. I think it's a really unusual but also special costume (both because of the story and because it was so unusual and different), and Stephane looked surprisingly well in it.

Permanently? I think that hasn't been claimed by any sources yet, right? But he's probably doing summer training for sure, which is why I wanted to decide a name for summer trainees. Him (at Orser's) and Kolyada (at Raf's).

It might not be. I used google translate. My gut feeling told me it should be "Pulchritudo est in qualis" (whatever the correct forms of those would be then), but maybe someone else could verify.

We could just not use Latin. TCC's in Toronto, after all.

(Academics do love titles) he says that unfortunately Google translate has led you astray, and that ”pulchritudo est in qualis” means “such is beauty”. He says there is more than one word in Latin for quality, so he used one associated with training and education.

Ratione is some form of ratio, which wiki says is explanation, reason, calculation, method

It's not that I hate it, it's just not one of my favourite: I know the concept of the costume, and I really loved the performance, for me is one of the most iconic, but, as you say, it's a bit unusual

Suggestions are very welcome! Should we make a discord with the houses so that we can have pictures\emblems and single 'pages' for each house? Should we turn this into a tournament during the season where people pick their house and see who wins, setting rules? Should we just leave it like this where everyone is welcome to make houses and suggest banners and stuff

I think there should be some basic requirements for house suggestions.
For example, a new house must have at least 3 skaters that medaled last season, either on junior or senior level (this is to ensure the competition is minimally fair).

I dunno, i think all suggestions are good, if people really disagree with something, they can always say it.

I am proposing to call Eteri's quadsters (the lots of them) as the Sand Snakes of Figure Skating. The currently unconventionals of Ladies' figure skating, both feared and loved. So many narrative and myth surrounding them. The supposed start of "death" of figure skating (never mind that this narrative has been around for so long), and also the supposed start of "revolution" in the sport (never mind that they are too young to know for sure if they can keep their quads). Because of the threat they posed in the current order of figure skating, the power that be tries to reign them in. Beware The Sand Snakes Y'all.

I'm calling all skaters who do summer camps as the Freefolks.

You guys say winter is coming, but with new the SoV, I saw Fire and Blood.
