Zhenya is such an inspiration not only for figure skaters but in general. Her strong mindset, work ethics and absolute self awareness are amazing especially if we take her age into consideration. It's what I love about her: she never complains and never tries to look for excuses. If something went wrong it was just an extra motivation for her to work harder without blaming the rest of universe.
And about Queen Victoria blades: I can actually imagine Zhenya wearing them in her Vogue outfit doing program to some heavy metal music
I tried.
I think I heard screams from the north end of town, which means Evgenia and Jason probably heard that the info on the new YOI movie will be dropping on Sunday morning, Toronto time (unless she decides to fly out to Japan before Sunday, then it will be evening for her). Heck, Sayo and Kubo are such huge skating fans, they would be thrilled to have her watch the preceding concert in Osaka in person. But if her schedule doesn't permit such a detour, then she can watch it anywhere online, since they know they have a global fanbase.

Most people seem to think she will do NHK and Canada or France. She's unlikely to do Rostelecom, and/or face Alina before the final.

Interesting! Zhenya maybe going to Skate Canada would help her since it’s close to her training base. She’s loves Japan so that could be a good fit. Yeah I can’t imagine the Russian fed are going to pit those two against each other until the GP final. Will she be interested in competing at the Cup of China/Korea to try and complete her GP gold medal collection? Looking forward to seeing where she’ll be placed!

Many people in Russia supported her move to Orser. So it´s wrong from Trankov to draw this picture about the russian fans as a whole.
Also regardless what result she will achieve this season, Zhenya fans in Russia will stand behind her. At least that is telling me vk and the fso-forum (with the help from google-translate).
