Jason also got Canada and France, LOL. The skating universe wants to see these two in the same place as much as possible.

Canada will be a really tough start for her, so many amazing ladies - and Eteri. But our girl loves a challenge

The link doesn’t seem to work for me. :( Why will she encounter Eteri in Canada, though? Is Alina going to be there ?? That would be stupid from Rusfed...

And isn’t Canada the only GP that Zhenya hasn‘‘t won yet? Super exciting!! :cheer:

Lil' Bet wil be there.

I think Zhenya won SC in 2016? I think China is the one that's left?

Elizabet Tursynbaeva wil be there, and she recently joined Eteri, so she'll surely be there too.

And actually the one Zhenya didn't win is China

Thanks a lot! :)

Oh. :( I forgot she already won Canada... Well, it‘s both starting with C, so... But China‘s not hosting any GP events this year, is it?

Ah yes, Tursynbaeva joined Eteri, that‘s true! Crazy off-season. It‘ll definitely be interesting to see their interaction if they have any or course. But well, they‘ve been coach and student for 11 years so I should think they‘d at least greet? Going to be... weird, at least. Hm.

Hi everyone!

I have mixed feelings about GP's draw. I am happy that she has a decent break between SC and France but they are the hardest out of all!
France is basically bloodbath...:ohwell:

France: Zhenya, Rika, Mai, Marin, Karolina, Bradie, Masha! I am afraid this would be very hard one, in contrast, Alina got the easiest so she is officially the 1st in Russia.

Canada: Also hard one: Zhenya, Wakaba and Gabi, Liza T. plus Darya P. & Liza T. (means high chance of Eteri be there...:) )

So she is having potentially both girls with 3A on each GP....not a lucky draw for her I think imho....

Zhenya you can do it! Best of luck!:hap10:

And Daria Panenkova is also an Eteri girl and this is her first senior year
But I wonder if Eteri will really go... She can send Danil or Sergei

Thanks a lot! :)

I definitely hope they will , but I wouldn't bet on it  But that would make a great happy ending to all this story (well, in addition to a new World title for Zhenya in March, obviously  )

Let's be confident about her victory, she didn't lose for 2 years against those same opponents, why would she now? :hap85:

Well, in Canada we have Gabby and Wakaba as the main threats. Especially Gabby, since it‘s in Canada so they‘ll try to push her. Panenkova.. It‘s her first senior season so PCS will be in no range to challenge Zhenya‘s. Tuktamysheva could be a threat, if she lands her 3A but well... Zhenya still has her PCS advantage and if there isn‘t much that changes, she‘ll be as mentally tough as ever and land her jumps!

In France we have Carolina of course. If she lands everything, which is a bit doubtful with her. And the Japanese girls which I frankly don‘t know a lot about. Overall, I‘d say she should do fine. As you said, she won against these skaters even while injured so I‘m not that worried. And if she doesn‘t come in first in one competition... as long as she gets to the GPF, everything should be fine. Besides, she‘s doing the same GPs as Jason, which is just great. They’ll be there to support each other!!
