Boyang Jin

I want to like it, because it's fun, but I can't escape the gulf between the lyrics and the interpretation. I find myself wishing he avoided a cover with the lyrics because with the words before me, his interpretation feels far too lighthearted for a song expressing spiritual disappointment with the world. An energetic, virtuosic guitar melody does not automatically mean light-hearted, fun times. The electric guitar (literally) is not a one-note instrument emotionally, any more than a piano, violin, sitar, or qanun are. I hope that he sits down and thinks about even just the title, or that Lori does and suggests he think about that. I think he can do that and show that he's more able to handle music with more complicated emotions now.

He's not yet done with it, clearly. He seemed tired and there's a lot more work he needs to put in. Just the first show, and an ice show at that. He'll probably put in work by the time Helsinki rolls by.

I've just read that it was Boyang decision not to move his training base to Toronto. I wonder if that is true.

So many teams have made big changes vying for a medal come 2022 Beijing.
Single skaters - Evgenia, Gabriel, Jason, etc. have gone to Montreal
Ice dancers - USA 2nd/3rd ice dance teams moving to Dubriel/Luzon

Sorry Boyang, without the refinement that Brian's team can bring to your skating, your PC points will always be marked down by the judges............

This is not good news. I read from an article, Brian was willing to make himself available as your 'primary' coach, he didn't give the same privilege to Jason and you have turned it down. The article interviewed Brian and he was making himself the primary coach to Boyang, Evgenia and Yuzuru. which means he will travel with them to competitions.

I am just terribly disappointed.

My two favourite Chinese athletes. https://m.weibo.cn/status/4272946127974175

Boyang is currently training at the Beijing Century Star Jiuhua Stadium. He is also coaching An Xiangyi, China's most promising novice girl, in her jumps. Not sure if this a temporary thing (one day kinda thing) but I am so excited ^^.I was hoping for this happen for a while.

It’s now official and very true.

Will Brian still going to be his coach but he will not just train in TCC? or he did turn down being coach by him? But I read somewhere that China hires Brian in preparation for the 2022 beijing olympics.
