Hi everyone! Along with Evgenia and Yuzuru I’ve been a fan of Shoma since I first got into following figure skating at this years Olympic Games. Both his SP and FS were amazing to watch and his Olympic medal was well deserved! He has great charisma and artistry on the ice and his interpretation of the music and technicality are fantastic. I was also impressed by his determination and fighting spirit he showed at the World Championships this year. Even though he was injured and fell a few times he refused to give up and it paid off with a silver medal. He deserves to win a gold medal at one of the big tournaments and I hope he does! Also my favourite EX of his so far is “See you again” closely followed by “This town.” His new programs this season are shaping up really well and I’m looking forward to the new season! [emoji4]

Welcome to Shoma’s fan fest! :) I’m glad to see more people joining us and cheering for Shoma, he really deserves it. I can’t wait to see the progress he has made with his new programs too, we’re so lucky to not have to wait that long, Lombardia Trophy is right around the corner.

I adore Shoma short program. In my opinion it is the best short program I have seen for this season. If it gets any better then just WOW!

Just wanted to share this fan compilation of Mao, Mai and tiny Shomachika

https://youtu.be/BfvnCL2r9PU

He appears as a flower boy in the clip, it is in Japan Nats 2006 where he fell in love with Uncle Dai’s skating.

Thank you, Sayaka-chan.:agree:
I've never seen before.

I have some questions, everyone.

Why one of Shoma's nicknames is Shomita?
Why this place is called dead banana club?
And what is your favorite Shoma's number?

Hi Jerry,

I'll try to answer, but some will probably have better explanation.

1. Shomita came from Yulia lipnitskaya, she called him Shomita once when she was commentating on a competition. I think it's because Shoma is small? I could be wrong on this as I can't remember if Yulia came with Shomita or something else.
2. Literally this :dbana: it's how we felt when Shoma is being kakkoii or adorably cute...which is all the time.
3. My personal favourite numbers are (beware of long lists) GPF 16 Loco, World 17 Lil, Sk Canada 17 Winter, GPF 15 Turandot, 4CC 18 Turandot, JGPF 14 Don Juan DeMarco, TCC 16 Legend, MOI 13 Tanguera ex, MOI 12 bad boy good man ex.

I started using Shomita a long time ago. In Spanish, when you have -ito or -ita on the end of a name, it can mean cute and / or small and it is also used as a term of endearment. I guess he qualifies for all 3 of those things -- cute, small, and dear! I like Sho and Shomachka too...I'm still laughing at how they call Itsuki Tree-kun, and just recently I saw a crazy Google Translate that called him Mr. Tree!

Another Shomita user over here. His name is really versatile for nicknames I find :agree2:
