I’ve noticed that in casual photos, Zhenya always looks much younger than her actual age. If I saw her walking around town, I’d guess that she looks like a 15-16 year old.

It is true that when she was skating, with hairs, make-up and costume she looked older than normally, in interviews e. g., where I would guess her approximately those 18-19, but now she looks to me even younger, like 15-16. E. g. Panenkova looks to me older than her. Maybe its a good sign, she feels free and not so determined to one thing.

Of course All the athletes are hosted in Novogorsk with their coaches\choreographers for the camp. They train there and get feedback from rusfed on what works and what should be improved the most.

Wow just logged in and seen all these awesome pictures and info! Test skates are so close now! Seeing her with Brian, David and the team is amazing. She looks healthy, happy and relaxed which can be only a positive sign that’s she’s comfortable with showing her new programs and is happy with her new team. [emoji106]

The anticipation is building... I'm so glad Zhenya looks well. She's going to be great. She'll bring the house down, and everyone will know that the Tsarina is back. Hope we won't have to wait long for videos to surface after the performances.

Does this mean that Brian will be a certified national level coach in Russia?

That is, will it be an exceptional authorization or might he now be qualified to work with other Russian skaters?

And will David Wilson need a document / credentials as a choreographer?

I guess if we see her with full make-up and fancy dresses for her skating compared to an all natural look it gives this impression. And especially the bangs make her look younger. But I think it‘s great and if you look 3 years younger than you actually are... well, you‘ll grow to appreciate it by the time you‘re older.

:agree: Zhenya always looked young. If you see her Chaplin skate, she looks 10 not 12. I think she will look 18-19 in full makeup and competitive dress. I'm glad she looks 16-17, she'll be happy when she is 40 and looks 30.

I think she lost weight compared to the off season, hence making her look more younger.

Not necessarily weight. She looks more toned and muscular with less proportional body fat.

Muscles weigh more, but the training may give her a bit more of younger looking physique and face.
