Evgenia Medvedeva

I can’t post it, but some of tbe most beautiful candid photos I’ve ever seen of Zhenya are from the 2017 Silver Dove awards in Moscow. She’s just sitting there in a navy blazer with her hair cascading down her shoulders and you can just see how naturally gorgeous she is with perfect skin & features.

"There will be certainly no 3A, but 4S is possible in the future. " But why does she think 3A is not possible for her? Does this mean she's not even gonna try to do it?
She needs both 4sal and 3A to win against the juniors who turn senior next season

Don't forget that you're reading an English translation of a Russian translation (possible summarised translation) of a German article with an interview that was originally conducted either in Russian or in English. With four levels of translations in between, there's no point to read too much into exact wording.

Anyway, 2A has always been her weakest jump and 3S her strongest. Makes sense that she thinks or thought at the point of the interview that 4S was a more realistic goal than 3A for her.

Because a 3A is an immensely difficult jump. That‘s why there are very few current senior ladies who are able to do it. 2A was always Zhenya‘s weakest jump (aside from 3Lz). She‘s improved it a bit already but to get another revolution out of it simply won‘t be possible, I fear. Her 3S, however, was always an easy jump for her. That‘s why I think if she‘ll ever land a quad, it will be the 4S. But we really can‘t say for sure because quads are difficult and not everyone is able to do it. I‘m sure, however, that Zhenya will give it her absolute maximum to suceed. Personally, I hope she can do it and my fingers are crossed for her all the way. :)

“Orser did everything to inspire confidence in me” — I am so so thankful for her new coaches :luv17:

I think next off-season is when the interesting work will start ... right now it’s mostly gaining back her form and consistency while improving what she has. Looking forward to seeing what they will do together!!

I don't know if you've noticed it but in FS her first axel was overrotated so I don't say it's impossible 😊

Perhaps not impossible, and yes, Brian Orser is Mr. Triple Axel, and yes, also training at the same rink is Mr. Quadruple Axel, but in the past Zhenya has said that 2a is her least favorite jump. It has improved lately, but her 3s has always been her best jump and the one she liked most. It wouldn't be a priority at all to get 3a. It would probably be easier (difficult still, but comparatively) to get 4s than 3a, and thinking to the future Zhenya would be more comfortable with 4s than 3a.

Nah. Overrotation is not an indication of ability for one more revolution.
If you look at the men, where the 3A is much more prevalent, it is still the problem jump. You have skaters who have quads, plural, and have trouble with the 3A. I am pretty sure Nathan would not mind chucking the Axel out of his programs if the rules only allowed for that.

She's smart not to even look at the possibility of a 3A. It's an incredibly difficult jump, even when a woman has a very good 2A (as can be seen with say Wakaba) and she doesn't. She's also not fond of it so the best tactic is the one she's after right now. Perfect the 2A as much as possible, give it good height, ice coverage, flow, with nice transitions and then let it sit and be stable.
I have no idea about the quad possibility but she will try in harness and then they can decide. These days many find the sal easier than the toe and that's the one they would first go for, plus it is a good jump for her. Not until next off season anyway. And with work to get her more strength for sure.
