2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

There’s a flamenco routine that Adelina Sotnikova did at a show in 2015 or 2016 , I think. She wore this black and red pants outfit. Does anyone have a link, please?

I’d actually love to see her back in competition and perform it.

Interesting. Maybe they put out an ISU announcement after they passed it revoking it. Elena Radionova went to GPF and then won Junior Worlds with a record score (at the time). I remember shortly after the topic came up and I thought it passed easily within the ISU to prevent it. Speaking of which....TBT the original 4
i think you mistook it with the rule that you cant do JGP the same time with GP because many skaters do JGP and went to Worlds... remember Stasya last season? she went to JGP yet she go to JWC and WC. its just matter of age. Why Radionova went to JWC after doing GP is because she's not age eligible, back then GP eligible age is not 15 like WC so she's eligible to GP but not to WC.

Yeah I remember Stasya..I just thought once you went to senior GP they changed it so that you can’t go back to compete at JWC. I knew you could go JGP, JWC, and then WC. Apparently this restriction isn’t a thing

Anyway...so the real issue is if all three can turn senior and still make GPF and WC team instead of sticking back and basically guaranteeing a JGPF, and JWC. (No equivalent of euros in juniors) I wonder if all three go senior how that will effect next season’s national team and what it does to the funding. Seems like a drastic change for the fed to sort out. Juniors will be wide open though and far less crowded then.

Pretty sure that, depending on the lineup and their own readiness, rusfed may keep someone in juniors for an extra year.

I’ll pay my $1, but in terms puberty I think Anna will fair better than Tiny Boss and Alena(who I think changes have already started with)

Not saying they won’t survive, just that those two already have signs of filling out that I don’t see in Anna.

I think Alena is already A LOT further through puberty than people giver her credit for. Looking at pictures of her from when she was 10 and 11 her body is vastly different to what it is now. I don't think we can really use her tiny structure as evidence because I've seen pictures of her family and they are all abnormally short, especially her mother and grandmother. Like well under 5 foot. And all have that a classic gymnast mesomorph build with very strong shoulders and back which Alena seems to be developing.

I think most ladies won't done growing until around 19yr. Evgenia is quite different now from last season, or when she was 15. They also grow after puberty. Some manage to shed a few pounds later, such as Liza T. and Osmond. And it is typically correlated with better results.

I hope Alena grows a little taller, Anna gains some more muscle, and Sasha stays with her current proportion.

Anna in juniors? What on earth would she do there? Her SB combined with the disappointing performance by numerous people as well as the numerous season-skippers should mean that Anna would have senior GP invites next season anyway.

She needs to go to seniors as soon as possible so we can see her performing a choreo sequence. Although the choreo sequence I look forward to the most would have to be Valieva's.

Don't get me wrong, I very much want Anna to move up next year but politically I can't see it happening. I just don't think they will move Anna and Sasha up at the same time. It's begging the other feds to have a fit and start regulating. It will take one scary looking fall (of which we know is common with quads) and that will be it - new regulations due to 'health' concerns. They are already going that way with the men. Quads are something that are going to need to be slowly weaned into senior ladies. They are going to have a hard enough time integrating Sasha. Adding Anna on top of that will be too much, too soon.

What on earth was that stupid LP from Tsurskaya? I think this was her worst performance ever. I think it's time fans started saying goodbye to her being a potential threat on the world level.

lol what? just because one or two bad skate we can't just erase her off. last season she had bad skate in one of russian cup she competed on and after that she still managed to skate clean in NHK and win a silver medal. its early on the season and she did land nice 3-3 in test skate.

When will be Panenkova's first competition this season? So far BOrser and Buyanova have received many critics from Eteri's fans. I wonder how they will treat Tsareva if Panekova falls.

any interesting local competitions at this week?
Just the one on 29th.

Notably, in sports 1(advanced novice) there would be Elizaveta Berestovskaya and Sofia Samodelkina. In KMC(Junior) there would be Anna Tarusina and Sofia Muravyova.
