Today I realized that Spirals For Miles does not live in California.

Snap! :agree: But, the difference is that I didn't even have a theory as to where in America she was.

My confession is that I have a feeling that an e-mail I sent a couple of weeks ago may have had a bigger impact than I could have imagined for a friend of mine. And best of all, it's in a really good way!

And I am absolutely delighted, because she deserves this.

Names I have stolen from ice dance teams to use in stories: Avonley and Vadim (unfinished Cold War era espionage thingy) and Gabi and Guillaume (sort of a crime drama? more a reflective piece that happens to involve criminal investigations. this also came along with some other names too.)

Meanwhile, I have been curious about the name Avonley, which I really like.
Have been wondering whether there is any chance that Anne of Avonlea (sequel to A of G G) had anything to do with Avonley's parents choosing the name (then changing the last letter)???

But, you don't even have to guess. All you have to do to find out is go back to the Junior GP coverage and work out which of the e-mails Ted mentions is the one from her.

And in between each of the warm-up's, you can even watch some very good skating routines!

You can't beat that for a plan! :agree:

P.S. Notice I didn't mention which group of which segment of which competition her e-mail was read out in. That was deliberate, so that you watch more of the Junior GP Series. Because it is definitely worth it! These kids put on a really good show.

It wasn't that much of a clue. Like, how many hours of coverage has there been from the Junior GP Series? It would take ages to find just one shoutout amongst all that!

Actually, now that I think of it, that would be an interesting thing to try to work out - just how many hours of commentary Ted has done this season.

We already know he is a total legend, but that would really bring home just how dedicated he is.

My husband and I spent Saturday arguing about our up and coming trip. He wanted to take a helicopter taxi from the airport but me with small plane phobia was against it. A few hours later the news break of Leicester City FC's owner helicopter crash near his stadium.

Now I'm permanently emotionally scarring. :hopelessness:
