Well, that was a clean performance from Nam Nguyen! The energy in the building must be fantastic; it is over a leyline or something? Haha.

Very strong 4S+3T, good flow-out on the 3A and a good 3F as well. Still some struggles on the speed of the spins and only a step sequence level 2, but that was one of the best performances I've seen from Nguyen. His artistry has improved when it comes to hitting the lyrics of this iconic Sinatra piece. I think he can still push the delivery of each flourish about 10% more to really sell it.

No. The max theoretical score is actually higher now. 8.0+4.0 is greater than 8.5+3 (12.0 to 11.5). Of course, 8.0+4.0 means +5 GOE, which is likely to be harder to earn than a +3 under the old, especially during the transition to the new system.
