I am just over the moon I can see him skate again, no matter about the jumps...FWIW & IMHO even the way he gets up from a fall is beautiful... I think someone posted in the comp thread that Brian was overheard telling Jason, in so many words, not to overthink the jumps.. just go with the flow.. s.eems like good advise to me.

I am so excited I get to see it live, I will be happy no matter what.
Actually, I won't really see it because I cannot really watch as he
skates. From a complete pretzel position, with hands over my eyes,
I might be brave enough to peak through my fingers. All while holding

I was right! Top 6! Well done Jason, this season is for rebuilding. That 3A-3T was magic.

I think it was really important for his confidence that he skate well today. I'm looking forward to seeing him at his next event!

That 3A-3T was divine. The 3A was so good that it stands up with any of the best 3As that Josh or Max have ever done.

I liked the program marginally better this time. But did anyone else notice he was looking down at the ice a lot? Unusual for him.

Thanks, I LOVE the British Eurosport guys!! The exit on the loop is SPECTACULAR! I agree about the program,
also the music sounds MUCH better on the Skate Canada sound system (sorry, do not know the name of the arena).
Not nearly so tinny as at Autumn Classic.

I watched the Men's FS in Russian y they mentioned "Jason" or "Jason Brown" during almost every other skater.
Since I do not understand Russian, I could think to myself they always said, "Jason does it better"!

Pensive, I like that description. He's not looking down at his feet, he is looking pensive.
I did notice he bit his lower lip before some jumps, very determined!

Even though Jason didn't get a medal this time, I'm still so so so proud of him and so happy for him! He's clearly made improvements already and change is never easy, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

The British Eurosport guys (I think it was Chris y Mark this time) talked briefly about the jumping technique Brian Orser is trying to teach to Jason. And they LIKE the FS music, which of course improves my opinion of it.

To Jeannie19, I finally did exhale. Keep thinking that if I ever hold my breath the entire skate, he will win gold!

No, I'm kidding. I did like the program better today. I don't think I'll ever love it (and I spent most of Tomono's FS thinking about Jason's Riverdance), but I think it will grow on me.

Now, let's see him build it up. Because nothing would give me greater pleasure than standing from my seat in Detroit or Anaheim to give him the applause he deserves after it is done perfectly.

I liked that they mentioned the work he is doing and how hard it is. They were very positive.

I’m so happy for Jason - it took a lot of courage for him to go out there today, and he did a great job. It wasn’t perfect, but except for the 4S, it looked like he wasn’t doubting himself, and that’s a huge step. The tweaked program is growing on me and I’m minding the music and costume less than I used to. The 3Lo, which has been such a problem for him over the years, was secure and had a beautiful transition out.

When I watched the SP again, I was really surprised by how good it was. Yes he was nervous and yes he made errors. But that low score and placement obscured a lot of great stuff.

Really hoping that by the time he has to compete in France, he’s more comfortable with the new technique and is able to build on his experience here.

Of course, I am soooooo happy that Jason skated more like Jason. I was holding my breath and ready to pass out too And god help me, the shirt doesn’t even look that bad....

But, for nitpicky non-important stuff, did anyone else feel just a little twinge seeing Jason shut his eyes and squeeze his hands with no Kori or Rohene hand to hold? Brian and Lee are not the hand holding type But a small price to pay if TCC ends up working for Jason....
