2018.08.06 Interview with Eunsoo at Incheon Airport after her win at Asian Open Trophy. Highlights:

On Asian Trophy: The ice at Asian Trophy was not in good condition but Eunsoo does not blame the ice for her performance. She is especially disappointed about the fall on the axel. She really wanted to set new personal best scores and is happy that she did so in the SP. Although she was unable to set new PBs in the FS and overall, it is still the first competition of the season and she will continue working to get better scores in the future.

On training with Rafael Arutunian: She did not try new jumps, but worked on refining what she can already do. She has improved her posture and reduced unnecessary movements. Raf said that her jumps are good, so they worked on refining details instead. She has made a lot of new friends in Lakewood and hangs out with them at the beach on weekends, although there are still some difficulties with communication.

On future competitions: She will compete at another Challenger Series event next month and Rostelecom Cup. She hopes to be invited to another Grand Prix event by doing well at Challenger events. She hopes to renew her personal best at her next competition and put herself in a good position for next season by getting good scores on the Grand Prix.

I didn't expect NHK wow, it's also back to back with CoR so that's a bit of shame but I'm glad she got it, so well-deserved.

Just saw the TSL interview and she is so charming!! I am so excited for her GP debut, I feel like she's going to take the world by storm, sooner than later! :)

Eunsoo was so adorable in her interview! She said she started skating from seeing Yuna at 2010 Olympics and wanting to skate in a sparkly costume like her :)

In addition to Yuna, she said she likes Kaetlyn’s jumps and Ashley’s performance quality.

Sounds like she really likes training with Raf, and also her new training environment.

Her answers were very thoughtful and her main goal this season is to perform clean programs!

She was so great in the interview!! Really good accent too. As a California native myself, I’m glad she’s enjoying herself. I was also curious about what her thoughts on the quads going on in juniors, but glad she has her priorities in order to focus on consistency.:) I didn’t realize NHK was before RS so already panicking for her GP debut!!! I’m so excited.

I thought it was amusing that her "only" goal was to be clean at every competition this season. That's quite a high bar in itself!
