Finally, here is the name of the maker of Sho's costume. Not sure about the SP costume. From what I can see on their web site, looks like it's a Canadian costume designer who has also made some Virtue and Moir costumes, among others. This costume is so different from the Satomi Ito costumes. I love the simplicity of the Moonlight Shomata costume. It really keeps the focus on Sho and his beautiful lines.

Yoshiko takes the most beautiful photos of Shoma! Wow! :gclap: https://www.instagram.com/yoshiko.0109/

Arriba627 that new DP photo is just so uwu.
Love the concept of Shoma and his brother.

I think it's cool that they have such a close relationship, and it does seem real -- not something fake for the cameras. A sibling makes a great built-in friend!

Yay Mathieu Caron! He made the costumes for V/M's Moulin Rouge and Prince! I had no idea he designed the new Moonlight Sonata costume. It really suits him.

I won a GS season pass after writing a review of Skate Canada! So I advise everyone to write one for GP Helsinki on its current thread or even NHK if you have not yet considered it. :)

Interesting, thanks for sharing.
If they only have pics of the new MS that means that the sp wine costume and his previous costumes were made by other people, right? The first MS definitely looked like a Satomi Ito creation. How many designers does Shomajesty have? I like that he’s experimenting with different styles though. I hope he keeps the costumes from SC for most of the comps this season, I think he looks so good in those 2, also they’re very...formfitting, that’s always a plus for me

His Ladies in Lavender costume was from the store Chacott, which I think has designed costumes for Akiko Suzuki and Elena Radionova, among others. That was THE costume with the beautiful lavender shirt and those rather interesting purple velvet pants. :scard8:

I'm going to NHK Trophy all events. :party2:
Though it's not my competition, I am nervous.
I believe in Shoma.
Go Shoma! :cheer:
I'd like to see his smiles after his performances.
I expect he skates Great Spirit and Turandot (encore) for EX, but body painting Turandot? :palmf:
Is there anyone who can watch NHK world?
When I go abroad, I always watch NHK world in hotels.
I'm not sure but you might watch Shoma all over the world.

I've been absent from here for a while but I am still REELING from Skate Canada!! I bought the tickets back in May on a whim, before the assignments came out, and I really didn't think I'd actually get to go. It's not a cheap trip from the UK, but I...somehow made it happen? I got to see Shoma in person? The event was really lovely! The rink was pretty small, and not fully booked out, which meant I got to spend a decent amount of time lurking in seats that weren't mine simply because.....nobody else had them. I got to sit right by the boards for practices, which was just INSANE - shoma really is SO fast when he skates right by you :o:

I bought him a silly gift on a whim which ended up in the seat next to him in the kiss and cry, and I really thought my weekend couldn't get better, but then the victory ceremony happened and... https://www.instagram.com/p/BpdIC4Ggr3D/

I'm still not over it. The whole trip was worth every penny I spent, I want to go again already ;;

Wow! What a trip, huh?! You really hit the jackpot with a picture and all! Lucky you! It's pretty amazing when he skates by so fast that there's a breeze! So happy for you. If you go again, that will be a tough act to follow! Now I'm trying to remember what gifts were in the K & C with him. Which gift was yours?

Ooh, sounds amazing! I actually saw your picture on twitter! :) congratulations on meeting Shoma! :hap10: What was he like in person? Did he say anything?

Did you get him the gudetama by any chance? That present sticks in my mind because I find it so cute and appropriate for him!

I did! It was such a last minute decision to get it, I was desperately trying to think of something good and I just saw it in the shop and thought it'd be perfect :D Aaaah he was just NICE, smiled and bowed and came right over when I asked if I could get a picture - I was absolutely dazed. I don't think I'm ever getting over it

Definitely! It really was, I was thoroughly shaken by how quickly he went by. I want to go to more events already, I went alone and ended up meeting SO many really lovely people, some of whom I've found online and others are mysteries :sad21: I really hope I get the chance (read: the money) to go again some day, it truly was such an experience.

When things aren't crazy, he's actually VERY nice about having his picture taken and signing autographs. So happy you had such a fun experience. As we say here, you have been "shoomed". Now you HAVE to go to more competitions. Seriously, their careers are so short. Go whenever you have a chance! It's so worth it.
