I didn't see the short skate, but given that everyone's placements are about where I expect, am I correct in saying there were no major disasters?

Basically all the top girls had minor mistakes.

Edit: Not even minor, but just one mistake.

Depends on who you ask. Zhenya doubled the second jump in her combo, Rika popped her triple axel into a single, Stasya had a meltdown, and Marin and Mai baked some carrot cake. No one was perfect (though Marin and Mai had good skates URs aside).

It didn't? I swear that there are like 50 skaters doing a La La Land program this season, although maybe my mind has just amplified it because I hate the music so much.

You’re not wrong probably more than 50, worlds will be torture.

ahahahahahahahahahaha no

But when just about everyone makes mistakes... you tend to end up with the same result. Honda was clean. Tennell missed the 3Lz-3Lo combo, did a 3Lz and 3F-3T but all four jumps called UR. Sotskova, lots of URs. Rika did a 1A, so she missed an entire element. Honda was pretty clean, save a UR, frankly lowballed in PCS (skating fifth and with Kihara right after her in the first group probably worked against her) — major step up from SCI. Mai, I honestly don’t remember her jumps because her programmes are such that they just don’t make an impact on me. Medvedeva’s best jump was the 2A, mediocre landing on the 3F, only a 3F-3T, incredibly tense.

It was the same at morning practice though, that stern, game face. She was pissed at KnC yesterday. She really wants this.

I love Ted positivism. At the end of the day, all these skaters work very hard and deprive themselves of many things.
