I am so happy and proud of zhenya . If she hadn't had that fall she would have been above Sofia. But hey as long as she is happy and smiling everything is absolutely fine

I really don't think she should go to Euros or Worlds. Well, there's little chance they'd want her to do so now, but I really and honestly think that getting more time to recover and regroup is better for her. I'm very happy that she could get back up and finish the Nationals in a fairly satisfying way. Now hopefully that gives her enough boost and confidence and she can work from there in peace.

She probably needs rest and healing.
She showed she is a fighter. Not going to big competitions might be blessing for her. Do ice shows, heal and get your mojo back and come back next year with a BANG!
I'm okay for her to end her season here and have some more time to get used to training and new technique. Having an early end of the season benefited Liza T and she's talked about that too.

Guys, Zhenya won‘t go to Worlds or Euros and it‘s better that way. Let her go to Universiade (she doesn‘t have a medal from that competition) and some minor B competitions in Europe and then regroup and train in peace to start the new season successfully. The additional stress of Worlds spot on the line... Nyet. :noshake:

I think some stuff going for Zhenya are: fighter (14th to 7th), 1st in FS in seniors, highest PCS, crowd loves her
But I would be happy seeing her at the unversiade.. This competition was def a turning point, and even though she was 7th, I so happy for her!!!

:hap93:I was like a lunatic when she landed it in competition. I'm glad nobody saw my reaction. What a beautifully executed combo.
But the highlight was when she made that hand gesture to the crowd - boy if that's not a clear enough message that SHE is back, I don't know what it. I loved it - that’s a real POWER MOVE.

Just watched it again, now that I can breathe. It was well deserved. She got an ! and Level 3 on SS so you can't say that the judges were blind to her errors and pulling strings for her. I hope she does do that competition so she can wear those beautiful dresses again. She has only worn them once!
I wonder if Ladu is giving her a little discount. She is getting a lot of social media attention now that Zhenya is a client of hers.
Maybe it would benefit her to keep that free skate for next season. It would need an overhaul though but she clearly likes skating to Libertango and she may want to do it more justice. It just needs some music edits and another choreographer like Misha to make it more her own. Then she can really put the time to learn the art of tango and how to use her arms better.
