regarding the 2 dapper photos, my honest opinion is that none of it captured Vincent's unique charm and personality.
I understand what the stylist and photographer trying to get, perhaps exactly
the dapper 
but this is not Vincent.
Some fan made a jock-nerd-goth-prep chart of male skaters, Vincent is at the corner of goth nerd. hmm, goth nerd maybe a better depiction of Vincent than dapper, but this is not Vincent either. Vincent's personal music taste is kinda nerdy and has a touch of goth factor to it as well (futuristic subculture non-mainstream EDM etc. which by the way is quite distant from my personal music preferences:hopelessness::noshake: )
Chinese fans have described Vincent as "谦谦君子温润如玉" (A gentleman as warm as the lustre of jade.)
Other Chinese fans described Vincent as “那个穿梭在宇宙星辰中的男孩，九大行星、七大洲、四大洋” (the boi that travels through universe, galaxy, planets, continents and oceans.) I believe they got this impression of Vincent due to Vincent’s universal vision and infinite imagination showed in his nature loving and poetry etc.
And other Chinese fans described Vincent as the true definition of Youth.“他在冰上摔倒再爬起来，爬起来再摔到，再爬起来，跟在暴风雨里被打倒的海鸟一样，羽毛黏在了一起，挣扎不起来，看着很残忍很痛心，明明声音暗哑，却偏偏要声嘶力竭，嘹亮到孤寂,这就是我心里的少年感” (He fell on the ice then stand up, fall again, stand up again, so on and so forth, like a seabird that was battered by the rainstorm, its feathers stuck together, struggles to stand up. So cruel and sad to watch. its voice is obviously dull, yet it insists on screaming, screaming to the place of loneliness. that is the definition of youth in my heart. ) They may get this impression from Vincent's perseverance or stubbornness I should say
the funny thing is, one of the most common used word to describe Vincent by Chinese fans are “老干部” (loose translation is “old cadre”) and we also joked about Vincent looks like a 50-year-old, didn’t we.
there are also many other words to describe Vincent: 宝藏（treasure), “有礼而知方” (courteous and understand morality), “宠粉小甜心”(the sweetie who indulges his fans), 少爷 (childe)，大爷 (granfer) …
So I guess Vincent is multiple faceted.
eta, tough job for any photographer (professional or fan), maybe for Vincent himself is also "still trying to figure out"
