I think it's the best she performed her free! SHE CHANGED CHOREOGRAPHY FROM ROXIE 'HEART' TO ACTUAL ROXIE HART! And she landed salchow  Too bad she didn't win and she fell on combo but I think she looked great overall, I'm so excited for 4CC and Worlds :)

We can debate about the numbers, but I completely think it's fair Young You won - not sure where the robbed comments are coming from, especially the childish bickering on twitter.

Agreed. YY went out to skate clean. I will debate on the PCS that Eunsoo got but this is not the right place for it.

Other than that, I think there are more pressing matters for Eunsoo to think about. Sure more media appearances and CF opportunities would lessen training costs but SK only has 1 flippin' worlds spot this year. IMO, I feel like this would fire Eunsoo up more as she doesn't have that "National-champ" hype that eats certain skaters up.

I like Young quite a bit and she skated very well. But I think Eunsoo should have been able to close the gap in GOEs and PCS. It wouldn’t have been a blowout victory, but in terms of factours such as speed and ice coverage, I felt Eunsoo was in a league of her own and should have been rewarded more than she was. Performance-wise, I didn’t think Eunsoo was off her game, though Young was absolutely having a Skate Of Your Life moment and won the crowd (deservedly). But I don’t have anything against Young or think she won unfairly. (Just in case it wasn’t clear that my use of “wuzrobbed” was meant to come off as sarcastic.)

At the end of the day, I’m just glad Eunsoo will be at 4CC and Senior Worlds. And that she landed the Salchow. I hope she’s able to rest some before 4CC.

The thing that worries me the most here was her mindset. She looked defeated before she even stepped on the ice. Her lack of confidence is starting to become more evident and it’s effecting her skating.😢. I really hope she can get back the fire she during her free skate at Rostelecom. She really fought there.

I disagree that she looked defeated. She didn’t exactly have “fire” but she was calm and cool and did her job. If anything I think her bronze at Rostelecom boosted her confidence. So far this is as good as a senior debut as she could hope for, a few bobbles hardly means her confidence has diminished. She never gave up on her programs, but she also didn’t have to fight for her jumps rest of the program either. There is still some polishing to do but I’m impressed

She didn’t exactly get to rest during the holidays so I hope she takes a couple days off before preparing for 4cc

Nah, that wasn't a look of defeat, it was nerves. She freezes when she gets nervous, and I can see how that can look defeated, but she definitely wasn't defeated coming on to the ice yesterday. She however was nervous as hell during warmup, when her eyes have that 'I have to pull this off' look and she looks somewhat grim that's how you tell she's nervous. Also, she said in an interview after that she had felt the pressure (she was expected to win, GP medal and all). And I have never seen her look defeated or lacking confidence during this season, it's just that strong mentality isn't squirtle's best asset and she shows it on her face. At Rostelecom she was weirdly relaxed, as in she felt she had already messed up so there wasn't much to lose, and if I know one thing about that squirtle it's that she does her best when she's not worried about doing her best. She's a perfectionist, and while I love her for it I also hope she loosens up somewhat because it straight up affects her nerves.

From what I felt watching her live, she's getting better and better at not letting her nerves get to her. A mistake on her first pass, and yet she pulled off all the jumps (including the salchow) perfectly and performed (in a somewhat nervous way, but I'm giving her a pass). Her growth is evident, and I'm sure by 4CC and Worlds she'll become even better.

On the Roxie 'Heart', I had made a squirtle plushie with a heart to give her after the free, and then she goes flipping her hair a la Roxie Hart  I did love the new choreo, but my poor Roxie "Heart" Squirtle had an awkward moment for sure.

I worked hard this season, and so happy to get a good result at GP, but I also felt the burden of something. Preparing for this event, I suffered from a lot of difficulties. Because of that, I felt overjoyed by the finish of everything.
... There would be many competitions that I felt burden like this in the future, I want to get over it well as Yuna did. And I want to show all of my prowess. So I will work hard for that.

Poor Eunsoo. The national competitions just seem so draining and not set up to bring out the best in the Korean skaters. She's really on the verge of breaking through, and I hope leaving this competition behind, getting back to Raf, and regrouping prove well for her before 4CCs/Worlds.

4CC is in Anaheim, so I hope that works out well for her since she trains in Lakewood.
