2019 US Nationals Senior Pairs SP

Great job by K/O! Danny O'Shea is my favorite US pairs man. So much quality in everything he does

So nice to see Tarah & Danny back and healthy. The skate of the night so far most improved.

I do think there should be more distance between Nate and Deanna and Tarah and Danny... That throw of the former was rough.

I took a glance at the hashtag and I can guarantee you the "activists" are not paid, just people with opinions like you.

I choose to see wearing the hat as showing support for his family and loved ones. I very much wish we were also seeing some teal ribbons to show direct support for the survivors.

Some are, to be sure. Others I recognize as part of a paid group. (I've worked for them in the past).

So you're defining artistry as graceful movement. From my perspective as a dancer, artistry is a lot of things, of which grace is only one. I agree in that Deanna isn't the most soft/fluid/graceful skater, but she and Nate are very artistic in other ways--they connect with the audience and each other, have engaged facial expressions and focus, and so on.
I just feel the program mutes what makes Deanna so special...its just innate loveliness I'm not pulled into the performance it's just there

Liu/Mitrofanov
her purple dress, him all black
Masquerade Waltz I think

3 twist, nice
throw 3 loop, nice
lift, okay but cautious
SBS 3 salchow, very good
SBS spins, great
SS
BO death spiral

Really solid. You can tell they're young and new to the senior scene, they don't have as much polish or finesse, but still very strong skaters and a very strong skate.

66.21, 3rd place

Fabulous skate, Audrey and Misha!!! :hap93: I've been raving about them for months! Well done.

Guys.. let's keep it to the event and not a debate about all things Safesport and other matters.

I like Audrey and Misha! They skate a little small, and sometimes the syncing is :slink: but I think their basic technical skills are great and they have potential!

I hope they have a more successful FS than at GP France, it wasn't all shown on camera but it was fairly scary to watch....

Can't quite put my finger on it about Audrey and Misha - impressive rattling off the elements, but the performance seemed pretty frantic, so didn't really settle in with me.

I'd like to see them get some international exposure to see what is needed at the world level.

This scoring is so extremely different than international scoring, it's been very difficult to follow score-wise.

I have been watching them all season and I chalk it up to difference in maturity between the two of them. I think they can work through it, but she needs time to catch up. It isn't her fault, she is quite a bit younger than him.
