2019 US Nationals Senior Ladies Free Skate

I don't know how comfortable I am with young children competing at seniors who aren't age eligible for seniors on the world level for years. How much is too much, that sobbing sounds scared. That goes for the Russians too.

I am with you. Even with as brilliant as Alysa was, it feels off.

Anyone else think it's extremely shady to Bradie how Johnny keeps repeating that Mariah is the most complete package of the top three (..........even though it's arguably true........)?

Mariah won the PCS at this competition in my book. What a gorgeous and moving skater she has blossomed into. I'm also loving her flow. She was the grown woman of the competition

Looking at the TES and factoring in a decent PCS advantage over Alysa, I think Mariah would have won if not for that one fall.

One great thing about Mariah- she doesn't let a mistake drag her down. I never would have guessed she had a fall if I had looked away for those two seconds

Yeah, the sobbing was a bit much for me. I mean, she's not fighting for a worlds or olympic spot; she's 13, first senior nationals with nothing to lose- I guess I expected something more like just beaming and excitement. But maybe that's just the way she reacts, I guess.

Good until the fall. Alysa has just become the youngest national champion is US history.

Pray for her. It's going to get crazy from here.
