2026 U.S.Nationals Senior Women Free Skate

A lot of people have been saying that the whole situation with her original SP kinda screwed her over in that they didn't want to reuse both programs but since they were basically forced to reuse the short they had to do a new free.

I don't see why they would feel forced to change the free because of the short. After all, it certainly didn't stop Yuzuru from winning OLYG gold when he used long and short again from a prior season.

The Olympic formula for Alysa is MP with 3A. Maybe add a few more wild flourishes to st sq and it's a gold medal. 3A, 3lz/3t, 3f, 3s, 3lz/2a/2a, 3f/2t, 3lp. She wasn't even breathing hard after last night's program; she could pull this off.

Promise is perfect. If she could add a 3A to it that would be a bonus.
Alysa has said she hasn't trained the 3A. Does it really make sense to try to train it now and debut it at the Olympics? In 2022, she never got full credit for It (though it did get her more points than a double). Amber is pretty consistent with the 3A but two-footed and underrotated it here. As far as we know, no one else is doing the jump consistently. I would rather see Alysa add another 3-3 to her long program--maybe instead of the 3F-2T.

Alysa has trained the 3A; she even put out a video showing a pretty clean attempt about three weeks ago. However, on Facebook she posted that she simply didn't have enough time to train it with the short time before Nationals. She's already maxed out on triples unless she adds a 3a. She could change her 2t to a 2l in her three jump sequence, or in her 3F combo, for a minimal increase. She could also move her current 3/3 to the bonus for an extra .7 points. Alysa is one of those skaters who can perfect a jump on Monday and put it in her program on Tuesday. I would not be shocked to see the 3A at the Olympics.

Why can't she do a 3F-3T?

She can't. Her free skate would then include two 3 flips, two 3 lutzes and two 3 toe loops. She would not get credit for second 3 toe loop.
Where does it say only 1 3T? That surprises me. Is it because it is in combination?

Despite debuting the reworked program at the U.S. Championships, Liu says her Olympic free skate in Milano will almost certainly be “MacArthur Park”

It's official! I'm so very very happy for her. It's hilarious how she is comforting her coach as he cries with joy instead of the other way around!
Her coach is always crying (and I mean it in a good way) when she skates lights out - he's so passionate about her skating.

She can only repeat two triples. If she adds a second 3T, it won't count even if it's in combo.
Just so I understand, because she repeated the 3Lz and the 3F, she can't repeat the 3T. Is that right?
