Exactly what I mean... the sobbing felt a bit much since the occassion was big but not that big.
Yeah, the sobbing was a bit much for me. I mean, she's not fighting for a worlds or olympic spot; she's 13, first senior nationals with nothing to lose- I guess I expected something more like just beaming and excitement. But maybe that's just the way she reacts, I guess.
She's more comfortable in front of the cameras than Stephen Gogolev, at least.Good until the fall. Alysa has just become the youngest national champion is US history.
Pray for her. It's going to get crazy from here.

Well, sweet baby J, you can't say that Alysa is overhyped, or that she doesn't deserve that win. Good heavens! What a skate!

I thought the same thing!Tara and Johnny actually haven’t been bothering me that much.... weird
I’m afraid my takeaway is “What a horrible splatfest” and “what on earth happened to Bradie Tennell?” I’m not even particularly a fan of hers but she’s always been so consistent. So I’m assuming Worlds will be Bradie and Mariah and I’m thinking no shot at getting 3 spots back (and I really like Mariah a lot!)
