Tarusina's flutz is obvious but you don't think her height and projection on all her jumps will improve as she grows stronger? I really think she may be one of the exceptions of the puberty diminishment rule and it may actually really help her. She literally just turned 16 and looks like she has otherwise great technique and knee bend.
And as for the flutz in general, honestly doesn't like 80% of female skaters have a flutz? I've rewatched lots of late 90's and 2000's programs and they all had the same edge issues we see today and did versions of the flutz from Witt and Bonaly to 3 of my all time favorites, Kwan, Queen Butros, and Alina.
Thanks for the medical discord. I won't comment on it because frankly... I have no idea and don't want to spread some questionable theories LUL
Far to many skaters don't have a good Lutz - We see lot's of blade assistance and edge problems.
Imho a lot of this is a consequence of judges in the past not rewarding the right technique and calling out wrong jumps.
Now, more people care and the public outrage about 'flutzes' is too much even for me
But wrong jumps should - and deserve to be called. Some skaters like Anna T (or Shoma Uno when he still jumped it, have you seen past Lutz jumps of famous culpid Zhenya Medvedeva and the outcry when they were reviewed and not called?) can only jump their 'Lutzes' from a clear inside edge - obvious deserved e call and a major reduction in BV and GOE.
If you can at least jump from an unclear edge - or an edge so minimal judges and viewers don't notice it in real time (Kostornaia, Samodurova, Sakamoto...) it's at max a '!' call and GOE distraction. Very minor compared to the e

(tech panels are still often lenient with top skaters: ! for e and nothing for ! but you can't expect leniency internationally as a nobody like Anna from russia :/)
If you can only jump 1 3Lz (and you hope you won't get an e call) instead of the max of 3 your BV suffers a lot. Russia has a lot of also great girls without this problem so your chances are really small. Top consistency doesn't seem to be enough...
Anybody else noticed how now that Buianova is not sitting in the K&C with Tarusina anymore her scores dropped again?
It will be interesting to see who RusFed wants to see at GPs next year: Gubanova, Tarusina or Sima. Sima isn't in great shape atm. I think Gulyakova could only surprise with the 3A.
