Zhenya’s probably picking up the “like” from the native speakers around her. I am much older & grew up in the US & catch myself saying “like” all the time.

Yes, I have heard many native speakers use like a lot. And honestly, I‘m not one but I catch myself doing that as well when I‘m talking in English. It helps when you‘re not totally sure how to express something. I think she‘ll only improve her English in time, just like her skating. Brian said it takes one year for the latter. Maybe it‘s the same for English. We‘ll see. Next year she‘ll probably be totally fluent AND have muscle memory for the new jumps. And she‘ll present us those changes with a smile and in a bunch of new crop tops from Nike.

I'm late but anyway, congrats to Zhenya on that SP! She did so well and despite the inconsistency with the judging she's in a good place I think. I won't be able to watch the FS live so good luck already!

Praise be to Nike for that video, I might or might not have teared up a little. Also, I want like every piece of clothing by them she's been wearing lately. And I don't even do sports.
