2019 World Championships Ladies Free Skate

And now only 2T. She's not going to win, unless other Ladies screws up more.

I doubted she'd win unless she landed both her 3As, so now she's fallen on one it's the matter of podium or not (unless, of course, somebody else has a breakdown)

She's not going to be able to win with that, but you know what, it's ok. I'm already so proud of her for what she's done this season, and she was smiling at the end of her skate, so all's well that ends well. It would be nice if she can still podium... but again, it's ok. Cheers, my darling! :hap10: Now go to WTT and have the time of your life!

Not foot-perfect, but CHILLS all over, easily my top 3 FS programs in Ladies this season!!!

Rika Kihira (JPN)

Tech:

- Beautiful 3A+3T! Wow!
- Ouch, a heavy fall on the second 3A attempt, oh-no
- Beautiful tano 3Lo
- Camel spin right on the music, nice catchoot and I-spin (Lvl 4)
- Good timing through the footwork sequence (Lvl 4)
- Good 3Lz+2T, nice height
- Strong 3F(rip)
- Quick and easy layback spin (Lvl 4)
- Great 3Lz+2T+2Lo
- Solid flying sit spin
- Good series of spirals in choreo sequence
- Strong 3S to end the program

Pres:

- It may not be the perfect performance she was looking for, but still one that might catapult her to the podium. Shame that was t tilted in the air with the second 3A. Not as sterling as her performance at NHK, just a bit more tentative with the speed, but she went for it. Even with the fall, a very high technical performance full of strong triple jumps.

FS Score: 152.59, 82.63, 70.96, -1 Deduction
Total Score: 223.49 (currently 1st)

Oh wow, oh wow! Big damn TES right there!

#SBSman mentions Liza, I am sad.

Aww no 3A stats?

Live by the 3A, die by the 3A, as many skating fans painfully know all too well

There's more to her than that. I think my favorite part of the program is actually the choreographic sequence. She's made her name as One To Watch. And she deserves it, not just for the 3A.

Rika has such power to her skating, and she hears the music too. Wonderful performance despite the fall on the second triple axel.

Glad that Rika went for it, even with the mistake on the 2nd 3A. Everything else was spot on. It's like she's a completely different skater from the short to the free.

I can understand some skaters being better at SP than FS, but for Rika it's reversed. Odd!

I think Alina can beat this. Even with one mistake maybe.

but be clean darling Alina, I know you can do it

With Alina's massive lead and PCS advantage, Alina doesn't even have to go super clean to beat Rika! The other ladies though, Alina may have to watch out for.

Well done, despite the fall 82 for technique is great. And this is her first world championship.

She has the biggest guts and did the hardest combo among all ladies so I am Pleased ❤️

Oh hell I can't care about Kihira Rika's placement now my hands have started shaking

She got higher PCS than Miyahara Satoko?

Never mind that oh lord

Other skaters' SB for comparison:

Evgenia 204
Mariah 198
Eunsoo 196
