Dance - Compulsory Dance - Rhumba

21 Nicolette Amie HOUSE / Aidas REKLYS LTU
Her in day-glo pink him in black
Pattern is much narrow than the top teams and the timing of the leg swings doesn't always match / she's bent forward at the waist a bit too much / I got a general feeling of a bit of sloppiness to it
PB 18.64 TES 11.24 PCS 8.01 Tot 19.25 currently 20th

Wow, the judges really decided not to decide anything at the top yet, haven't they? The OD is going to be a nailbiter. Oddly enough, I think this kind of favours the Americans, who have proven they don't make major errors when the heat is on.

That's also my bet, but I don't believe B/A will get the gold. A medal of any color is well within reach.

The most dangerous species are the French and Canadian pairs. The Russian is sure for a medal.

22 Olga AKIMOVA / Alexander SHAKALOV UZB
Her in darker hot pink him in black
She's a bit wobbly on the back outside edge of the 1st chotcow / timing seems of to me especially on the 1st set of steps on the long side of the rink
PB 25.72 TES 13.68 PCS 10.52 Tot 24.20 currently 16th

23 Nelli ZHIGANSHINA / Alexander GAZSI GER
Both in black with band of pink winding around body
First impression is nice deep edges / losing a bit of speed on the 2nd pattern /
PB 31.97 TES 14.35 PCS 11.21 Tot 25.56 currently 15th

I've just watched the Rhumba of Den/Sta on rtr and they were just brilliant, deep edges, very close together. And i didn't saw even on the replay that they didn't returned at the exact time, seems like the russian commentators didn't saw that either they were very impressed and said that Den/St skated as one person... However i think Albena is looking especially beautiful today:rock:

26 Marie-France DUBREUIL / Patrice LAUZON CAN
Her in bright lime green him in black /
Great unison & matching body & leg lines / close together throughout / nice dancey feel / on at least one of the chotcows I'm positive she stepped down on an inside edge and then flipped to outside - but maybe I saw wrong. . .
PB 40.51 TES 19.77 PCS 19.19 Tot 38.96 currently 1st

LOL the only team with marks over 19????I knew that Mr Dore will make his best to make them champions...

Nice dancey feel / maybe a tiny bit slower than the top teams and a tiny bit of accordianing /

28 Zsuzsanna NAGY / György ELEK HUN
Both in black with diag gold design down front /
Small pattern / no - a tiny pattern / nice edges though on most of the steps / need a bit more dance to it though - they were skating it rather than dancing it /

29 Anna ZADOROZHNIUK / Sergei VERBILLO UKR
Her in bright green him in black
Steps aren't as defined as they should be - almost a bit of choppy feel at times / very nice action around the 3turns though /
PB 27.49 TES 14.48 PCS 12.44 Tot 26.92 currently 17th

Yes BUT they need it because I believe they are the weakest out of the top teams in the OD.

I think they should be third in the CD.... but as i said the isu vice president is canadian and as we see he is doing everything he can. 1.6 points difference from all the teams....that is ridiculous score....they don't have the great edges+ the obvious mistake= gold medal for David Dore:clap:

Dubreuil and Lauzon may have the lead now but their weakest phase is the OD and can see them drop after the OD.

they may not be first in the od but 1.6 is a big difference, so they ll stay first overall, and was the intention of giving them sooo hight scores
