Honestly though, I do think Evgenia fans are pretty easy going in comparison. I’m honestly not phased who Alina follows or doesn’t, I saw how they interacted at worlds and they seemed on good terms. Evgenia being the gracious queen she is was very proud of her opponents achievements and as her fans I think we should follow her example. :luv17:

You know, I‘m not going to discuss this much because this is not the place. One thing: I‘m not a fan of some of Alina‘s fans either (lol) and I get what you mean. (Even though a lot of skaters have some “fans“ that are crazy) But I don‘t think we should blow this out of proportions. In the end, no one deserves to be hated on. And certainly not for who they follow on social media. And no matter how bad the double standards are sometimes, this is Zhenya‘s fanfest. We should stick to discussing her primarily here.

Apparently there was cheating , they froze the votes for a long time because of that, but only for Alina and Zhenya, you were allowed to vote for the others during that time

Oh, yeah that didn’t occur to me but makes sense, I guess. I noticed the same but I thought it were some of her crazy hater.s in Russia. I don‘t like the system with the likes and dislikes anyway. I think it would be better if you could just give your vote to one athlete and whoever had the most votes in the end would win.

As for instagram follows-unfollows, might as well be an accidental unfollow or the instagram itself unfollowing her on random. Both things happened to me personally before. And even if not, who cares.

She doesn’t follow Alena Kostornaia or Alexandra Trusova. So not a big deal at all as far as I can tell, she trains with those two every day. Unless you are insinuating that she had some kind of malicious intention in unfollowing?

Well the context is different because these two were once openly friendly, Zhenya is her senior, and they have always followed each other.

Regardless, it may not be intentional, and if it is, then it doesn't really matter. It's clear they understandably aren't as close as they were a year ago and that's fine. The only thing that's upsetting is that even small things like this ignite hatred torwards Zhenya from fans and media. Someone telling all of these girls (Zhenya inclued) that there are unfortunately larger implications to social media stuff, would be a good thing for all of them.
