Now,Now Red Dog, why disappointed? Beautiful skating at a higher tech level is all I could ask for. And the judges seemed fair. I love skating and can't wait for Caroline to join in the mix next year.
Does anyone have a link to the final standings for the ladies? I'd like to know how Emily, Carolina, and some of the others ended up...
Thanks!
Just to clarify a point, the South Koreans put a lady on the podium. Does this earn them 3 spots next year, or only 2 ?
I thought Asada was better, but the short program mistake really cost her the Gold. I never was a big fan of Ando and I'm still not...the performance, although clean, was just kinda bleh to me. Asada at least had that additional "oomph", I felt. Too bad about Yuna, though...I think her time will come.
Another strong effort by Kimmie, about the same as Nats and 4CCs...I liked that program (at least the beginning), hope she doesn't go back to something "plain" again next year. The field was just too deep and so many brought it to the table that it wasn't enough. Would Kimmie's effort have won medals at other Worlds, though?
About foreign skaters speaking english- I get the opposite impression. They really need to get a translator...it shouldn't have been too hard to find one in Japan to talk to Ando and Asada. I mean, they're sort of "fighting" for the right words to say...so in effect you get next to nothing out of those interviews.
Please. Canadians have been VERY patient with Mira - it's time for her to deal with her issues. Did you read about her boasting before Worlds - and then to get a 24th (last) place? Don't you think that indicates some kind of attitude problem?
I love mao asada even more after what she did and her reaction to losing.
