Sasha's movie (trailer for Moondance Alexander on You Tube)

Call me cynical, but does the world really need another reworking of "National Velvet"? If this film had been made in 1962, Hayley Mills would be the star, Ann Jillian would have the Sasha Cohen part, and instead of being released theatrically, it would just appear as a two-parter on "Disney's Wonderful World Of Color."

Glad you brought this up. Maybe she's trying to play it safe in her roles and not try to break out with a "Basic Instinct" type movie (as if she could) until after the Olympics because she doesn't want to shake her fan base or have a major distraction in her life.

she looks amazing in this, but i was dissipointed. I thought that she would play a lead or at least semi-lead role. She dosen't seem to have much of a part at all. Still, you gotta start somwhere.

Have you seen it or are you talking about the trailer? It says she's "starring." That seems like a pretty good start to me! Plus the villain is always memorable. ;)

I know not every guy thinks she is the cats meow, but of all the guys that I know, once they see her face and learn her name they NEVER forget.;)

i only saw the trailer like everybody else, but it seemed mostly about another teenager and a little girl. Sasha was only shown like twice.

Well, check out the bios in theater programs. Often actors starting out have to settle for tiny little cameos (like the one she has in BoG). I thought her appearances in the trailer showed her character to be quite important! At any rate, a co-starring credit is definitely a substantial item for her resume.

Sandra Bullock for example had small roles in movies like "Religion Inc" and "The Preppy Murder" years before she hit the bigtime in "While You Were Sleeping." So to co-star in a Disney film (=mainstream, not trash) is definitely not a disappointment for Sasha but an important step.
