Music you wish someone would skate to

Agree.. most think we just sit and look out the window.. yah.. it’s called work. 😄
Remember the Manard G Krebs charactor from "The many loves of Doby Gilles" show? He was a beat nik and every time he heard the word "Work" he would jerk and say "Work!" 😫 LOL! I have no idea what boredom is. I have this list every day and never get to the end of it. When I retired, I lost all of my free time. I gave up fishing, canoeing, and home brewing...that was 21 years ago... unfortunately, time goes by faster as you get older.....

I just watched Legends of the Fall for the umpteenth time last night and, as always, was gobsmacked at how beautiful the music would be for a pairs program. I believe someone skated to it years ago (Nate Bartholomay perhaps) but maybe it's time to bring it out again. Can picture Hase and Volodin with their elegant lines.....

Its a great piece of music and I was able to catch the string Ensemble doing it on my last cruise. Here they are playing "killing me softly" Piano player is not Zack Donahue.

Kushida/Shimada used the tune "Sabrina" for the second half of their FD this season (choreo by Cathy Reed), making a powerful impression on the audience of JNats last December. It might have made some skaters wanting to use that tune.

(Thanks to Team Champery Fans, we can watch them at Golden Spin, although their condition wasn't as good.)

I personally would like to see some French or alpine accordion music being used in the next quad.

She is amazing.... 😍

I always wished Chock and Bates would have skated to the secondary love story in "South Pacific" She...the exotic beautiful Liat, Bloody Mary's daughter....Evan...the rugged handsome but ill fated Lt. Joe Cable. start off with "Younger than Springtime", followed by "Happy talk"...and bring it home with Some enchanted evening.

Dark side, we all have one and ignore it at our peril.. second a Woodstock program

My SIL, The Real Diana Delafield, will also be 80 in July (July 7?) , won a chess tournament recently playing against youngsters her grandson's age. And goes for long walks with her dog in a pet stroller because he's old and has arthritis these days, but still enjoys the outings.

Actually the theme song might work as a funny exhibition skate😄

Has anyone said music from the Rocketeer soundtrack? I really wish that someone would come across this gem of a score and skate to it.

I think Elvis Stojko skated to music from "The Rocketeer" circa the 1996/1997 season, so it's been a long time since. Definitely NOT a warhorse!

Hugs to your Mum…. Lost mine in 1997. She was a feisty goddess, totally blind, very ill at the end, and cherished. I miss her to this day. Thank you for your kind words

Us 7’ers are the best! Tell her I said so 🦋😅♥️
I passed on your message, and she agrees with you, and says hello. This is The Real Diana, with her granddaughter Katie who is a beginner diver, so after all the years Diana sat in freezing arenas and watched me learn to skate, she now sits in overheated pools and watches Katie "fall off the board into the water and then run back up the ladder and fall off the board again":

Oh my goodness what a handsome pair!! “We are what they grow beyond.” (Yoda) 😘🫶🏼

has anyone ever skated to Wagner?

i'd like a dying Siegfried instead of all the emosadbois we see around. the music is big, we need someone who skates big (and think of cactusing on the crescendo :ROFLMAO: super dramatic)

also for fearless girls

The piece is almost 9 minutes but the first 2:30 is what could be best utilized.

I can't think of anyone specifically, but the original Zarathustra used to be used a LOT. Except most people thought of it as "that theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey" which came out in 1968. Skaters seized on that music with glee.

I know the classical Strauss version has been overused. However, I have always liked Eumir Deodato's 1972 jazz-funk rendition. It would take a unique skater to kick some serious butt with it.

Didn't Kazakova & Dmitriev skate to it (mid - late 1990's)?
