As long you don't say anything bad about your president, and other taboo topics such as showing support for the LGBT community, etc.

are you serious?
If you actually take United Nations human rights body seriously, lets end this discussion right here.
p.s BTW in less than a month, laws of Russian federation will officially overrule any international law![]()
let wait until his post gets translated from Russian
especially this part:

There really is no point in debating with someone who flat out denies reality. I've realized there was no discussion to begin with.

Reality is that there is no legal basis to prosecute Yagudin in Russia. Ironically, neither in the USA.
another reality is that, no one cares what UN says, especially Russia.
If you believe overwise, sue Yagudin any time you want in Russian courts for breaking UN/EU laws, that will be fun to watch
Racism/homophobia/Sexism not being an opinion may be reality in EU or to United nations human rights council, but Yagudin doesn't live on a territory where any of these bodies have any power.
goodbye
That's a great resume for Tatiana. But Alexei was her greatest success because of the mens discipline.

Plenty of people in Russia say bad things about our president or government and live happily. If you can't read opposition media in Russian, look at the political cartoons by the cartoonist living in Russia https://www.google.com/search?q=елк...URiYsKHbElAgcQ_AUoAXoECAwQAw&biw=1920&bih=937As long you don't say anything bad about your president, and other taboo topics such as showing support for the LGBT community, etc.
Now that he has apologized is it all good? This Thread has gotten a little wild.Yagudin apologized for the words addressed to Rippon

Not as high up as Alexi but obviously very good.Ilia Kulik?![]()

Not as high up as Alexi but obviously very good.

(...) Trying very hard to get arrested (like ***** Riot did).

You guys lost your minds when David Pellitier said they could take a bathroom break for the first 2 minutes of Alina's program. Like seriously lost your minds. And by the way this always said more about his not appreciating good spinning and footwork rather than anything to do with him being anti Alina.
And yet Yagudin can say this about Adam and it is all "free speech" and "let people have opinions".
He is free to say whatever he wants. He is not free from the consequences of his speech.
I will say this: If a Canadian person I formerly admired and respected spoke this way I would want them removed from the airwaves of the CBC (and they would be) and I would no longer be a fan. If this was Kurt I would probably be really sad and angry but I would want him removed from tv.
His comments reflect very negatively on him to me. If he was coaching my child I would immediately remove my child from his sphere of influence.
When I see someone badmouthing or insulting Russian skaters or coaches and ask why are doing that I constantly get the answer 'here in the US (Canada etc.) we have a FREEDOM OF SPEECH! It's our constitutional right to insult Russians! You will never understand our shining freedoms! We can insult Russians as much as we want!'
But when somebody says something they don't like they immediately start like 'homophobia! racism! fire him! ban him! crucify him!' The same story was lately with Johhny Weir ans Zach Donohue, when they were bullied to the ground and forced to make humiliated apologies for an absolutely innocent tweets.
