Moscow Junior Championships, 1-4 Sep 2020

Hmm, slowed-Hozier greets me as I shake off my responsibilities for today. I think I'm gonna rewind to see how the men did.

is Muchortova related to Muchortov we saw in men?

Never saw a picture to link the two, but that doesn't mean anything. They still could be cousins. Or it is just a widespread name in Russia.

The music is not my thing, but the programme was very funky indeed. Lots of potential.

same costumes as last season, same program too if i'm not mistaken (wich is a gigantic If ) great skate anyway, this should lead :clapper:

I like B/C, they'll go far.

M/R, well, a wee bit too boring for my liking.

Looking forward to how Max Shagalov does with new partner.

Belated comments on the men:

Golubev - ooh Marilyn Manson, shame about the fall but I had fun with that. Also nice 3A.
Kovalev - Nearly clean, that was quite nice. Dramatic arms.
Belyavsky - Solid 3A, needs work on spins
Vetlugin - Wow that was one heck of a waxel. Pity, he has quite lovely skating skills.
Knyazev - Tiny and cute, but me and Daniil G choreo are not on the best of terms
Yablokov - Not the prettiest of jumps still but much, much improved. Nice program.
Mukhortov - New to me, ooh not too bad. Dramatic hands.
Kondratyuk - Interesting shirt. Powerful jumper, program is still not my cuppa
Sarnovsky - Carmina Burana is big music and he is kinda still too young, but the same as test skates: you see the Plushenko influence in him, especially the step sequence.
Lukin - Small and cute 2, but more outwardly projecting. Personally liked him better than Knyazev.
