Honestly? If I were Sasha's, I would definitely be pis... off. That was also my first thought when I heard about Alyona's move to Plushenko. And I was upset about it myself, too. I was happy to have Sasha as an unrestricted star in Plushenko's team, which Rozanov also and especially takes care of. The whole plan was just good and then Alyona follows and the unrest starts before the first season has even started. But what can you do? Sh.. happens and you have to see how to make the most of it.

I‘m sure he’s capable of coaching more than 1 star student. Perhaps it is because they are kept in separate rinks (?), and practices take place at the same time in both, hence he can’t be at 2 places at the same time.
Plushenko probably attends 1 session with each.
But Sasha seems to work more with that younger 22 year old guy recently, he was working with her on jumps.

I wonder why has Liza T never had a program as good as Kolyada just now? So strange. Also heard before that Mishin wasn't going to take anymore skaters but happy that isn't true. :)

Maybe you don't know Mishin likes to change the programs what the choreographers created. He did it many times in Plushenko and Liza's case, too. Sometimes he not only changed the parts of the programs but the whole program has been dropped.

Yes, there is the argument of quads and injuries, but this is different for each skater. Skaters are also injured from spins and falls unrelated to jumps. And on the topic of injuries, I believe Sasha is the only senior lady who hasn't been injured, despite doing the most quads. All the Russian ladies for as long as I can remember: Anna, Alena, Alina, Evgenia, Elena, Anna P, Yulia, etc. have all been injured. I get that not everyone likes jumps, but saying that Sasha should not be jumping her quads because of the safety concern makes no sense as each skater has different abilities naturally and what's safe for one skater might not be for another.
Yes, with exactly this mantra I try to calm myself down again and again, when on the one hand I am full of enthusiasm for your crazy performance, but on the other hand ALWAYS fear for your health.

from what I can see, Sasha looks like she's far more likely to be injured from the Biellmann (what she visibly struggles with) than any jump.
Absolutely! I would just leave out the Biellmann in their place. In any case, I don't need him.
What is the name of the spin she made instead?

I like that much better with Sasha anyway!

Well didn't she credit him assisting her so much on her quads? I know there was video of him with her when she first moved to Plushenko, and wasn't he the one that actually choreographed her programs?

I think everyone just found it really strange that they didnt seem to have any interaction at test skates. Add in Eteri's statement about Kostornaia having a list of skaters that she wouldn't/didn't want to be on ice with, Kostornaia not denying Eteri's statement, and that it was mentioned Trusova and Kostornaia wouldn't be training together at Plushenko's equals perfect storm for speculation.

I believe Plushenko knows it is much healthier to train them separately, because it was also difficult the training together with Yagudin. When they received separated ice time and attention from Mishin, everything became much calmer. He didn’t forget that, but I know "everyone loves each other very much and only they hated each other with Yagudin", but that is the right decision for skaters of this level. Anyway, it was nice to see Alyona running out and watching Sasha’s short program, and her applause really seemed real.

I didn't know. And I also just read he choreographed both of her programs. It seems so unlikely to me that they aren't speaking at all then, but they definitely didn't interact during the test skates. We saw Aliona training with Plushenko so there clearly isn't any kind of arrangement where Aliona only gets access to Rozanov and no one else. What doesn't make sense is that Alioma doesn't have this much power....I can't see how it could be allowed.

And that is the twist in the story since I've always seen Sasha and Aliona's interactions together outside competitions to be very very friendly. Showing each other things on their phones etc.

And I saw a video where Alyona was petting Sasha's little dogito Tina.
*Off topic, I found Anna look alike. It is posted in the look alikes topic.*

I'm not trying to defend TSL, but they do have reliable sources in Russia and the majority of the time, their intel is correct. For example, they knew about Trusova leaving Eteri way before it was announced to the public. Of course, I don't want to believe that this rumor is true but it very well could be.

Anyone who saw Sasha’s season might have guessed that. It was obviously rough for her. They also said that Aliona wouldn’t show up at test skates, that Anna is anorexic, have hinted at a relationship between Alina and Daniil... they throw trash at the wall and see what sticks.

Really? When? I know that Alina was sixteen when these disturbing videos about her and Daniil first appeared on youtube. But it was on another youtube channel.

When Alyona switched they said that they knew that she is going to switch a week earlier.

It's going to be interesting how the judges will hand out pcs this year esp Alexandra and her supposedly marked improvement. I'm going to wait till we see Alena fs but if its similar to what we got from her sp, I dont see her able to maintain her pcs margin especially as Plushenko and his team is packaging Alexandra as the ice princess.

No one knew she was going to switch, it’s very easy to say after the fact “I knew this a week ago”. Anyways, I don’t watch a lot of their videos anymore because it seems they’re just looking to create drama, not actually to have good discussions about anything. The Russian accent dramatizations of every “scandal” for example. They’re usually not wrong about injuries but everything else is pretty hit or miss and should be taken with a grain of salt.

They said that they heard about the transfer, becaude eteri waitet until the end of july to post her post but alyona told eteri and daniil before that date like we know that daniil said she came to them on the 18th of july if i remember correctly and that is the same as what alyona is telling us, she mad eher decision on the 18th of july after taking a few days to think and decide

Brian confirmed that Evgenia is dealing with a flare-up of her ever present back injury.

https://rsport.ria.ru/20200915/medvedeva-1577285412.html

Confirmed and expected. She wouldn't have opted for the first two Russian Cup events if she wasn't ready. This is just really unfortunate circumstances for her. Also makes me wonder, for Evgenia with her body breaking down so much with even this limited training I don't see how she will even have the ability to try to learn anything new or improve. Body is so fragile now... :(

i am a bit worried too. your body is very different at her age than 15-16. she is injured, stuck in Russia, without a coach by her side and doing lessons over the phone. there is only so much she can do under the circumstances. i hope she doesn't rush back into the season and takes the time she needs to heal and return trained and strong when she is ready.
