It isn't actually due to her faking a document, as if she photoshopped it on her home computer. The hospital that she took the prescription from didn't have a licence to prescribe this medication.
According to her coach back in May, Maria told her she retired and planned on getting married after her last GP (around November/December), and then withdrew from RusNats.
I don't know what made Maria push off applying her documents for retirement, but it was one big silly move.

I don't think she actually was consuming doping and tried to wash it off with Furosemide. Considering her results past 2 seasons, that's the most useless doping ever.
Oh Masha... you ruined it for yourself and cast a shade of doubt on other russian skaters.
Man this Masha drama is much worse than anything Shabotova ever jokingly said. Such negligence on Masha part. It was such a shame she got that last Grand Prix event she did not deserve it and someone else could have used it to boost their career.

Can we blame the Russian Federation in any way for not making sure one of their official skaters did not hand in their retirement paperwork?

Guys I don't like the site's new form :(
In the old forum, the ad always jumped to the last unread post. Now I can only choose between the first and the last post of a thread. Am i doing something wrong? 🤔
Does anyone have a tip?

Use ad block.
Thank you, but it has nothing to do with that. An ad blocker is active in the Samsung browser, but not in Chrome. The new forum behaves the same here and there. The old forum worked in both browsers.

Since reality and fanfiction are basically converging at this point, I just want to put it out there into the universe...hey, isn’t Yulia Lipnitskaya a coach now?

I love Elena Ilinykh, she seems to genuinely care about her skaters. The way she comforted Aljona, who looked a bit disappointed after her SP and how she rooted for Sasha during her step sequence in the LP.
I loved her at test skates too. She seemed very motherly and nurturing. Such a great sight to see.

Yes. Sasha and Aliona are teenager and they are really strong athlete. But they need a sensitive woman who can hug them who can support them as a mother. Neither Plushenko nor Rozanov nor Mikhaylov can't do that. Elena was a perfect idea!

Excuse me, but what kind of competition has Shcherbakova tomorrow? Only Maya and Frolova? She does not meet Kostornaya or Trusova or Valieva or even Tuktamysheva or Medvedeva. This will be to easy for her to win.

Basically yes. Anyone who chose this stage has much higher chances of getting to RusNats, since there are only 9 participants (out of max 12). From all participants, the only other familiar one to me was Sultanmagomedova.

I wonder if other stages will have more skaters, otherwise they simply won't have 18 qualified athletes for Nationals.

Why not ? Even with nine out of twelve skaters every stage, with just four stages they going to have, theoretically, already 18 skaters with two placements, end then there is the last stage. Obviously, the distribution will not going like this, but mathematically there is no problem about it.

It's just the first stage, there was the lockdown and everything, most skaters are not prepared yet. Lucky who is already there.

Hi, I’m trying to find a full list of the ladies performing tomorrow. I think their short program starts tomorrow (early morning for us in the eastern time zone)?
