I love both of her new dresses, however, I don't think they match the theme of her programs very well. Especially the one for the FP. Though, it could be more of a problem with the program itself. It feels like she is blending too much with the music, while repeting a lot of similar elements (spirals and arm movements). And then the dress blends too much with the ice (although it might look different when shot with a better camera).. Idk, they obviously got some harsh feedback in order to go for a change, but imho the program didn't improve.

I hope so much that in the end she won't be right. I sincerely hope so.

This is one great issue that all thinking figure skating fans contend with, isn't it? The young people involved in the sport are possibly wrecking their bodies, no one stands up for their health, and why? So they can win, and we can be entertained.

Oksana not impressed at all. But it brought up something I never saw until now, does Valieva have a 4 toe-axel??

She isn't backing down as she also defended herself the next day. I think it's better if we respect a champion and discuss what she has to say? Maybe that's just me.

I love Oksana but I don't think Kamila has a toe axel. Everybody struggles when they grow, that's why puberty is known as the watershed.

A toe axel tends to have free leg bent coming through and transfering to a forward outside edge, this does not.

Oksana had a very unhappy childhood. He was left without parents, without grandparents at an early age. She slept in the ice rinks and was helped by coaches. Being famous at 16 was not good for her. I could never be mad at her.

So far, my view is that I don't think Kamila *has* a toe-axel, but I also think that one in the video was. My thoughts are that she has already turned a lot before putting the pick in, and then secondly the front of the blade looks to be behind the back of the blade (although not completely forwards). The problem is I haven't seen so many toe-axels to compare.

Toe-axel? Baiul is obviously going through delirium tremens again.
I think she means that in this jump, Valieva did not even bother doing a toe pick and straight went into forward blade jump off (she twisted her body before the jumping foot even touched the ice). Like when doing an Axel. Which is apparently dangerous for the health. In my Opinion, Valieva normally does the toe pick before twisting, I think this particular jump was just a fluke from her.

I agree that Valieva usually uses her toe-pick. However, I also think the basic message has merit. Athletes health should be taken more seriously.

Ok, I agree clickbait language is fun sometimes, but if these comments themselves are denigrating then we denigrate skaters all the time much worse by critiquing their skating at all. Denigrating for example is addressing her point by just mentioning her past drinking problems, actually.
