can you link that article? I don't recall him commenting on that, perhaps I've missed it.Yes, you're right, it is a confirmation of something many people suspected. Still, I seem to recall Plushenko has confirmed it already in some interview. I think he said something like they had it organized with Rozanov being sort of the main coach for Alyona while him and Dima for Sasha. That's why it does not really seem that new to me. But it is just an impression, I might be wrong.
As for whys, we can just guess, and our guesses may be right or wrong...
Still it might be temporary, you never know.
Sorry guys, but I must show it
I'm not an expert, most of the time I can't see the difference but in this video it's clear.. This is fault or not? This must be punished by the judges or not?
I just have a dejavu. Does everything start all over again now? This thread is so exhausting. My concern is that Plushenko's school still doesn't have second ice... When Tarakanova left, she said Plushenko promised to arrange another ice asap.
Apparently, they have much more students than before, how can he schedule training for each team? Maybe the excellent students deserve more attention, but it doesn't mean they can take more time on ice than other students. Plushenko welcome all athletes to his school but may not guarantee good teaching quality and time for them, this is "cheating"...
As for Sasha, she is a real star now, she can do whatever she wants to do. But during this tough period, consistency may be more important than ever before, especially considering she might reach the age of puberty. An experienced coach is better than a famous Olympic champion.
To be honest, Plushenko is a novice when it comes to teaching... He has never focused on coach work, it looks like he loves camera and marketing more. The coaches must always focus on students and improve their techniques. Even though I don't like Eteri regarding her personality, I respect her focus and innovation. Her team improves all the time.

Tarakanova's time at AoP was in a different rink (the smaller non-standard one that is now used by another club, Army of Skaters). Soon after that, AoP is moved to a standard-size rink (I think it has 2 ice pads but not sure). Plushenko is building a second rink which contains 2 ice pads (I think because their current location isn't as convenient). So currently they have 1-2 full-size pads which is on par with most other clubs. My concern is that Plushenko's school still doesn't have second ice... It's a proxy for the real world... for those who have the energy, it's good training for practicing critical thinking/evaluating source reliability/identifying media manipulation techniquesI just have a dejavu. Does everything start all over again now? This thread is so exhausting.

No. The AOP has one pad. Two new buildings, new rinks are going to open on different places.Tarakanova's time at AoP was in a different rink (the smaller non-standard one that is now used by another club, Army of Skaters). Maybe you are going to be surprised by it (I was totally shocked when I found out), but Plushenko's flip and lutz are not with textbook technique either.
What I’m saying is that the team is always improving. Nika’s Lutz was trained by Team Eteri, there was a progress, right? Why do you think she got her lutz clean as soon as she entered Plushenko’s school? So ridiculous. This is for you:
Translated from a Russian site:
Eteri's students often have a problem with the lutz edge, but Zhilina has no problems with this.
In the video posted on Evgeny Plushenko's Instagram, Nika jumps with the cleanest outside edge and rotates the whole jump in the air, without rotating first on the ice. In the Tutberidze group, they often try to simplify the technique, because of that the quality of the element may suffer. So Lutz Veronica would hardly have been able to show, staying in "Khrustalny".
Meanwhile, Sergi’s coaching experience is gained in Team Eteri, his techniques are from Team Eteri. Why not think dialectically?Sorry if I'm a little suspicious of your motives for posting this.
Maybe you are really a disciple of "perfect lutz technique" and "mininmal pre-rotation". If so, I apologize in advance.
So let'st start with 3 skaters of the past (one the distant past) noted for their lutzes - even back in their day.
And wow - what a coincidence! lets contrast them with 3 skaters of a coach who is in involved in a "war" with your favroite.
I guess I should be happy they weren't compared to Jin Boyang this time.
There seems to be a distrubin trend now on GS to posting these "expert analysis" from any Tom Dick or Harry on the internet.
Yet we have members here who have actual knowledge of jumping technique. Some I believe actually skate.
And they have posted here - some as recently as yesterday.
Maybe they need to post in 0.25 speed and use some sort of cheap music to garner more attention?
I miss the good old days where the mere mention of a certain youtube "expert" would earn you a slap on the wrist here.
Eteri didn't work with Nika at all. She was working with her mother and with Rozanov at Khristalny. What I’m saying is that the team is always improving. I don’t want to criticize any team, coach or athlete. No one is perfect. In this case, I think experience is important. Apparently, Plushenko is lack of coaching experience. That’s all I can say. I’m looking forward to his progress.
Btw, if you don’t think Team Eteri is improving. Please explain why Anna, Aliona, Sasha, Kamila, Akatyeva make their techniques better and better? Do not let prejudice blind your eyes.![]()
I said team Eteri.Eteri didn't work with Nika at all. She was working with her mother and with Rozanov at Khristalny.
Did Rozanov work for Team Eteri before? Did he gain all these coaching techniques from Team Eteri and become a good coach?
