"Dear folks, I've broken my leg recently; recovering now and preparing for next competitions. Unfortunately, couldn't participate in the CoR 2nd stage. You'll see me competing again real soon, love you and thank you for your support".

I am glad Zhenya withdrew despite my undying curiosity about her progress.

She needs time to heal properly and I do not think it is worth it to go out there, bust or aggravate some other part of her body and then to top it off have the masses go wild with theories about her and Eteri.

I think it is very wise to withdraw, recover, keep working and then truly show the world what she has to offer later.

I am so relieved! Sad I won't see her but relieved!!!

But that's the mystery. That someone who has known allegations (even if as "conflict of interest") against her and has also been known to talk badly about her students and is known to pull her students' hair and has made inappropriate comments about food, is talked about much less than Eteri - who *doesn't* have any allegations against her, while also having some things like Lipnitskaya's ED and Pitkeev's broken back. Why?

Trust me, I'm not dealing with this as a matter of law or something. But in the public eye, why does Hamada get so little scrutiny in comparison?

ETA: I was very happy to see Miyahara and Kihira no longer training with her, and that some on Twitter are finally beginning to agree there
According to Satoko herself, Mie Hamada recommended Lee to her when she was looking for some change. Rika the similar case, Hamada went together with her students to champery for short training from time to time. Not to mention she is still listed as her coach. Even Rika completely leaving her, *most likely* she won't act like Eteri when Zhenya and Aliona left.

There are/were coaches way more successful than Eteri - it's not about jealous when people dislike Eteri.

Also, mind you Hamada filed a counter-suit against Oda for defaming, follow your logic, I can call him a liar. But I won't as I'm not in a position to judge since the case is still on going plus I haven't seen her students comment about this publicly.

Never said that, sorry.

follow your logic
I don't think you did.

You are, OTOH, giving me exactly what I thought about this, that it's not about specific apologists of Eteri's behaviour at all, so I hope people can cut that particular bit of talk on here. I think if someone went to the JLT and criticised Hamada, I'm sure someone will start spamming about how nothing has been proven - despite there being some evidence *and* an allegation.

Not having a normal offseason is really hurting the skaters. First Zhenya and her back and now this with little Liza. I hope this is not one of those super bad broken legs and just like a hairline fracture or a stress fracture like Aliona had a couple years ago.

Oh no! She says she will compete soon. So I guess it is just a small fracture? I would think a broken leg would mean the rest of the season gone.:(

And Medvedeva withdrew too. Well that was expected and I hope she heals. I really think though that Medvedeva should skip this season.

And then we have Sinitsyna. Any news on her? I'm worried...

Liza wrote that she just twisted her ankle pretty badly while walking, about a month ago.
That can be bad for figure skater too. Once Adelina hurt her ankle in 2014 it was pretty much a game set match on her career.

Liza N has the best smile and I miss it. A few years ago I thought she was going to be one of the big stars. But it never happened. Figure skating is such a tough sport. Only Warriors for this sport it is that tough.

Little Liza really is a star. I wish her all the luck. In ANY other country she would have been huge and her sponsor appointment book would be as thick as an elephant on a sumo wrestler diet.

Here is a reminder of how lovely Elizaveta is. Everytning is wonderful - except her protocols.

About 1.5 years ago I thought Akatyeva would rule Rus FS after 3A+K, now here comes Zhilina sisters, Samodelkina and (probably) more 😱

I think it's really difficult to predict several years from age eligibility who is going to dominate; I remember seeing people metaphorically drooling all over Proklova as being the next big "star" years ago and she never really competed at the senior level.

TAT did what? For real? Damn. Zhenya practiced biellman for test skates? If she had to do biellman to make the olympic or world team? Maybe. Test skates? Nyet to that.

Well in defense of Tarasova, only Medvedeva is going to know how badly her back feels and part of the whole "being an adult" is speaking up about what you can and can't do. Tarasova was probably looking at Medvedeva's poor showing the last 2 years and her jumping deficiencies and trying to find ways to pump her difficulty up without it being a quad or triple axel.

Pump difficulty? A LSp is only 0.10 points worth more than a CSp. So nothing.

Yes. She was and is divine. A few years ago we thought she and Nastya G we're super special and in some ways like artistry feel and musicality they are. But other girls like Alina 3A and others just blew by them like these two were standing still. :( That sports and that's life.

Little Liza it's quite the spokesperson and I gather has a lot of followers or an Instagram.
