Yes. It's strange because it's said that it helps you straighten yourself out and use your core more effectively, but it looks like they're out of control and barely there? Somewhat muscled? Maybe because they're not doing it correctly.

ETA: Of course, it's still very new, so we will see what it looks like later. Maybe she'll master the timing better.

The two Sof'ya's Akat'yeva and Samodelkina in one of the next stages, both with impressive ultra-si and great artistry. And Sof'ya Muravyova with her exquisite artistry.

All very likeable girls, still pure and unspoilt, this will be a treat, perhaps even more than the senior event.

Dar'ya Sadkova still has a start ahead of her? In Sochi, there are a lot of 'Eastern' and 'Siberian' girls declared, apart from the obvious 'Southern' girls. Some might not get a second invitation.

The Kazan stage will perhaps have more 'Central' and 'Volga' contestants.

If I can use some of the words that were repeated here frequently, reasonable critique is not hate. I consider a biography for such a young person not right and that has nothing to do with Sasha personally. I think the same about Karen Chen having biography at 17 and I was never hiding that. Stating that some claims published yet are obviously wrong is also not hate. Or you want your favourite skater would be celebrated by using untrue claims? If so, I don't think the people who pointed on those weird statements are not the ones to blame.

Some people’s lives are interesting enough to have a biography, no matter their age. I would read whoever’s biography I would consider interesting, no matter the person’s age. Yeah I guess it’s just a bit weird to me that they are showing rippon quads/3A before they show them in the traditional way. It seems like a “cheat” to me?
Maybe they landed them the traditional way first, but didn’t show them? I would guess if they could do them the traditional way they would have posted as soon as possible.

I agree with what you've said about The Leftovers. I also thought Stella's Theme wasn't spectacular, either. Both were fine and inoffensive, but also generic and quite boring. Adios Nonino was more interesting, and Eteri was given the top credit for that. My unpopular opinion is that Cleopatra was also generic, despite a more interesting step sequence.

I'd say the best programs choreographically were Me Voy, Black Swan, the "asylum" Fly/Experience, and Don Quixote. Don Quixote was done perfectly for the ballet in terms of structuring, timing, and building the intensity, but I would say Daniil's mother was a bigger influence in that; she was the ballet dancer who was also credited with the choreography and I'm sure she would have made many changes and additions as she knows ballet much better than Eteri and Daniil. And Alina has also said she worked with her a lot for DQ. Black Swan and Fly/Experience were unique, but I'd say Me Voy was the best. It's the most nuanced of all the programs from that team, and also has the best step sequence, imo.

I have to disagree about Don Quixote, that’s quite of an unpopular opinion. I don’t think Alina was balletic at all in it. I can say many good things about Don Quixote, but not that it was “balletic”. Oksana Baiul was balletic. Johnny Weir was balletic. Jason Brown is balletic. Alina is not, and that’s not a big deal. For me, the style in which she shined the most was Cleopatra and Me voy. Until then, I never liked her programs. But I have to go with the train and agree that Adios Nonino and the other programs done mostly by Eteri are pieces of art. Even The Leftovers is quite amazing to me, as it’s one of my favorite tv series ever. And if I’m not mistaken, it was mainly created by Daniil, right? I consider it one of his masterpieces. I have to give Daniil credit when he deserves it.

Propaganda now? It's a biography about a young girl who through grit and determination has pushed the sport forward by consistently landing a wide range of quad jumps.

Miki Ando, great skater though she was landed a quad salchow once over 15 years ago. It's not untrue or propaganda to say Sasha's quads have had a huge impact.

With the opening of the coach thread I hoped this thread would become more friendly, but no. I have no doubt if Anna Scherbakova or indeed Kamila had a biography written on them certain people here would be first in line to buy it.

Miki Ando’s quad wasn’t even fully rotated. I don’t think her quad counts. And Sasha Cohen’s quad was only in practice. So, if we considered “fully rotated quad in international competition by a single female skater”, I guess it would be Sasha anyways. I’m not disagreeing on you, I’m just adding to what you said.

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I personally don’t like the rippon quads and 3A. I wasn’t a fan when Samodelkina did it but I didn’t say anything because I thought it would be a one off; however, it seems it may be becoming a trend.

I’m not trying to take away from Sofia’s achievement because she is obviously an incredible skater!!

Maybe I’m totally wrong, but I get the impression that rippons help with the rotation a little bit... like they help you go higher in the air... But then it comes with that same problem: jumping with the arma and back instead of jumping with legs. I don’t know, maybe I’m totally wrong, it’s just a theory

Akatieva's jumped Salchow with Rippon for as long as I can remember... I'm not sure she even can jump it decently without Rippon.

I think her Salchow can be very pretty. Even that one's pretty good, I don't really think it looks forced or anything, especially in comparison to a 4S like Trusova's or something.
