Sounds like a pretty stacked field!
I wonder why neither Zhilina, Samodelkina or Osokina took part in earlier stages?
I guess it has to do with slow start of the season.. last two events so much more stacked in comparison to the first event, both seniors and juniors... at least for ladies, is it in other categories, too? I don't have time to watch them too much, unfortunately...

This is probably more fan fest stuff, but I'll bite: I remember somewhere her crediting the early age rhytmic gymnastics for her flexibility. I think she's quite flexible here too, at 1 minute mark her trademark spin, the 'Valieva spin', though the control has also improved since this and it is even more flexible.

And I also find her arms especially pretty
I think it’s combination of some early age gymnastics exercises and her natural flexibility.
From experience of seeing kids in gymnastics, I can tell there is definitely a lot dependent on genetics, even at 4 you can already tell the difference (I also heard about some medical conditions allowing even more flexibility).
so in Kamila’s case, I think early age gymnastics were certainly useful, but most of it is her pure talent/genes. For example, Alina tried gymnastics too as a kid, and she’s certainly very flexible, but Kamila has even more flexibility in every body part.

3A+3T from Trusova, and did Plyushchenko talk about Titova's 4S?

Why does the API not allow embedding IG links anymore?

never mind, the fan site has already uploaded to YouTube

That 3A was huge. I hope both Kostornaya and her will be clean so we will see the real gap between the two with the same content. It was 10 points before. I don't expect Trusova to beat a clean Kostornaya but i think there will be less than 5 points between them.

Petrosyan has already been declared to Moscow, so it is wise to have Akat'yeva compete in Kazan.

Strategic planning, both have scored a Gold medal and full ranking points, which is good for their images.

Like it will be for Samodelkina if she wins.

AFAIK, there is no FFKKR preliminary list of contestants in the KMS division, that is juniors. Is Zhilina in Candidate Master of Sports even?

Kostornaya likely doesn‘t even have her 3A back (if she did, there‘s no way Plushenko wouldn‘t post it and he‘s been actively avoiding the topic in interviews), how is she supposed to beat Trusova? If Khromykh skates well (it’s not like she’s never done that before) and Kostornaya doesn‘t have the 3A, I can even see them putting her above Aliona. So, yeah. Unless they somehow decided to keep the 3A, unlike any other jump ever landed in TeamPlushenko, private, Sasha will win and pretty easily so.

Too bad Osokina will finish off podium if Samodelkina, Zhilina and Akatieva (if she competes) deliver.
Yeah, I really don‘t get why she competed so late. She looked super ready at test skates, could have easily won one of the first stages, or at least finished on the podium. I suspect there was an injury of some kind that held her back.

I'm not sure, what if Aliona specifically requested that it not be shown? The last time she got the 3A she just started showing it in competition. Perhaps that's the way she prefers it.

I don't think we can authoritatively say she has it or not until she competes.

That‘s why I said likely. Aliona is still my favorite competing skater (well, after Medvedeva but her prospects look pretty grim with that injury), so believe me, this is the hope I‘m clinging onto as well - that she shows up out of nowhere with a perfect 3A next week. I‘m just trying to be realistic and prepare myself for the disappointment.

I don't see Trusova win against a clean Kostornaya WITH 3A as implied in my post.
Imo even without 3A Kostornaya can score 80+ and be just 1-2 points below Trusova. I don't see Khromykh beat her. She won't get 80+.

That will be interesting for sure.

The rules state: participation in two qualifiers and Gorshkov had said in an interview no exception and special circumstances.
In theory, a top 3 finish will guarantee them entrance into the final by ranking points.
Actually dient rusfed already say that for skaters who cant skate at 2 events they will think of something for the to still qualify for nationals ?

Indeed, I was wrong in my earlier message, the FFKKR board will think of a solution when an injured skater cannot qualify through the stages.

" We will make decisions at the executive committee, because the decision on the selection system was also made by the executive committee. We have different options where they can participate in order to still pass the selection. There cannot be a situation where they do not participate in any stage "

But are there other FFKKR competitions on the calendar?

Dudakov and Gleichenhaus are more famous and different from each other nowadays compared to Pluschenko and Volkov. : biggrin:

...though Pluschenko is really working hard for people to know/recognize him nowadays too, for better or for worse. (of course it's annoyingly for worse with all the unnecessary banter he's been giving). :laugh2::laugh2:
Are you joking? There are some people on this forum who can post anything, I won’t respond to any of their posts. You can be sarcastic about it but they are not exist for me. I don’t want you to be uninformed. Plushenko doesn’t have to work to be more famous. Some example:

https://www.instagram.com/p/unVgi5my7F/ In same team with Morgan Freeman

https://www.instagram.com/p/w67Zc5FSOc/ - It's nice that the guests of honor of the show were, as it turned out, the longtime fans of my husband - Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas - they went to the background because they wanted to meet with Plushenko

https://www.facebook.com/notes/offi...-vettel-alonso-massa-a/209949035693339?ref=nf Nazionale Piloti( formula one) vs Star - The Star Team for the Children will play with SAS Le Prince Albert II, Pierre Casiraghi, Docruet Louis, Evgeni Plushenko, Pavel Nedved, Frank Fredericks, Max Biaggi, David Guetta, Jure Kosir, Jose Cobos, Wilson Kipketer, Giuseppe Dossena, Loris Capirossi, Erik Zabel, Claudio Chiappucci, Ezio Gianola, Peter Runggaldier, Peter Fill, Romans Vainsteins, Sonny Andersson, Marco Simone, Novak Djokovic, Fabien BarteZ, Hermann Maier, Heinz Harald Frentzen.

http://tamagawasanpo.web.fc2.com/1701.htm orhidea - Plushenko orchidea from Japan...It was named after him. There is a star it was named after him, too but for obvious reasons i can't show it

- the swiss watch manifacture Ulysse Nardin Champion's Diver Plushenko by NYC Diamond District 800.500.GEMS

And many more things, news , articles.... I can show video when he received bodygard in Italy..and many more interesting videos but this is off topic and I should take more time to find those. He is the most famous figure skater ever.

They didn't post Sasha's 3A before the first competition.

Interesting! I wonder if they will. On the one hand this is good for skaters like Med who have been recovering from injury. On the other hand won't those skaters who went to two Russian Cups be kind of annoyed? Some of them may have preferred not having to rush into competition.

How do you think they will come PCS-wise?
Sasha scored 71 with not-so-clean performance, so I would expect if she's clean it could go up to 72-74 maybe.
This leads me to a question how clean Aliona is going to be scored comparatively? She certainly will have advantage in stsq GOE, spin GOE and bonus compared to Sasha, as well as PCS. But judges are leaving too little room for themselves to differentiate between them, since both will have PCS in 70s likely.

From what I remember, Rusfed didn't say anything on that, I think some coach said that they'll have to do something, because some top athletes aren't going to qualify at this rate.
