This IS the same program given to Arakawa (which Morosov choreographed).

I have to respectfully disagree. Shizuka and Daisuke have different body types to begin with. I see no similarities in their lines either. I maybe completely wrong, I've watched Daisuke's new SP only like 30 times so far, and find it the most promising and exciting of all.

His R&J LP, on the other hand... well...

When I first saw Adam Rippon, I thought the Americans have another genuine lyric skater not unlike Weir. After seeing the Liberty youtube of Adam, I find it ghastly that Morosov gave him his usual pattern as stated above.

At some point in time we will have all competitors looking alike in style. Morosov kills diversity. Tatania nurses it. JMO.

Morozov - as an expert - is hired to do a job. He delivers what is expected.

Remember our reigning Olys and Worlds champs? Morozov has worked with both of them at some point, but they preferred someone else in the end. The result? Arm flailing - jump - arm flailing - jump - arm flailing - jump(c).

I'm not a fan of the guy's choreo 80% of the time. But sometimes, when it's a really talented skater (and I think Dai-chan is such a skater), I can't take my eyes off of his creations.

But yes, I'm aware of different strokes for different folks (and the specificity of this forum as well), respect.

Glad to read you are not 100% with Morosov's choreography. I just happen to believe TT is better, and it is left to Morosov to put in a bit of rousing Russian nuances to get the audience going. But not much else.

Pray tell me, what would he do with a piece like 'East of Eden'? I would think he would throw it out and use something more rousing which is his limit;. JMO I contend he can not choreograph lyric music except to copy his colleagues.

As for winning gold medals, there is a lot more going into it than choreography.

Both their FDs are beautiful. Some how, I liked D&W's FD better than B&A's. Don't like White's costume that much.

I am really impressed. Belbin and Agosto look great. I love this porgram already. I had by doubts when I first heard that they were going to skate to somthing so classical, but it looks great. new lifts, i love the music and the costumes looks nice and understated. Nothing hanging off.

i absolutly love Tanith and Ben program i too was surprised by the music choice but this free dance is really good and at worlds it should be fantastic

Tanith and Belbin are developing a surprisingly soft and lyrical side to their ice dancing (especially Tanith). I think this choice of music and choreography is excellent for them as developing artists.

I've so been hoping they'd test the lyrical side of their skating. This is a lovely program for them and a great way to start exploring other facets of their style.

I'm looking forward to seeing it Live at Skate America! As I've stated elsewhere here, this will be my first live competition. What a treat to be able to see the beginning of the season for such a great field of skaters. :agree:

I really love B/A new FD and is a nice change for them but ...I really don't like the ending pose
I just think it looks very boring I'm sure they could come up with something other than just standing there looking at each other .Think of the endings in A/P CB TMITIM N/K Carmen Denstas SDS and you know what I mean .Being very picky here I know but something else could look so much better IMO.
