Just to show how popular both figure skating and Alina personally are in Russia: in the yearly live poll conducted by VTsIOM agency, Alina was voted the best female athlete in 2020 - third year in a row* - and she was the only female and the only skater in the top of the list.

* without even competing this year

Also, Dar'ya Sadkova is now part of the junior rank of #TeamTutberidzeForProgress.

Otherwise, we'd probably see her compete in Cheboksary, however, Agneta Latushkina has withdrawn.

I'm not sure why she should compete in Chuvashia Republic while training in Moscow. After all there are a plenty of competitions in Moscow.

It was said that Dasha would still spend longer time periods occasionally in Yoshkar Ola with the rest of the family (I recall she was in Moscow only with her mom). And she wasn't at the GUM morning show thing with the rest of the kids, so I was actually assuming that she went home for a longer holiday period.

Me too, so that's why I perused the start lists.

Mari-El and Yoshkar-Ola are very proud over the achievements of both Latushkina and Sadkova:
