Quote from article:

"Judges' monitors are charged in a special way, from certain people, with some kind of energy messages. And not only that. It's a good charge, by all accounts. To the pension. There are a lot of retirees sitting behind them, as far as I know."

Making an accusation like this without incontrovertible proof is heinous.

I have nothing against him speaking out loud about scores if he wants to (to be honest I'm interested to see if it works or not), but there have to be lines that aren't crossed.

Have you read Plushchenko's recent interview where he accuses judges of bribery? I wonder if RusFed has some sort of ethics commission? Such insolence should not go unpunished.
He called judges retirees, who are essentially getting bribes to their retirement money? Unwise, imo, can’t imagine this turning out well...
Seems like he talked with Lakernik personally as well though, so do you, Plushy!
On the other hand he extensively discussed other skaters and their „faults“, which I can’t say will bode well in public eye.

Plushenko stated in the interview that he has upcoming meeting with Lakernik where he intends to review video recordings. So, he doesn’t just make accusations without supporting them. I assume he had reviewed the materials before talking. I think we had all seen the obvious mistakes made by the three other ladies.

Does Plushenko have proof of bribery or just incorrect calls
This is such a touchy issue. I have not seen the skates of any of the Men except Mikhail. You all know how much I love his skating and for me, I was so happy to see him win that I didn't look for controversy. I am also a huge Plushy fan and I have to think there may be some proof around his comments. Most of you know that I am a dance judge and it pains me to admit that Coaches and Parents have tried to bribe all of us in one way or another. I'm going to wait until I get the full story.

Trusova's unclear 3F was a clear b/s.

The overall idea was to strip Sasha from 2nd place and drop her from the Words Team.
There are rumours Kostornaya looks for coming back to Crystal Dome, when and after Medvedeva released. So she's still "their" and has better chances to be promoted to Words.

Thank you for your honesty in admitting such attempts exist and are sort of common. Most of people at the RLT thread here react as it was just something unthinkable of and blame Plushy for being, well, "hysterical" at the least. Still, just to assure you he was referring to the ladies skating and not men, at least not directly. So not to Kolyada :)

LOL what does even mean? Is this like some hocus pocus energy charged crystal-infused water bottle? Or are these monitors like slot machines at casinos?

As I said before, there definitely are cases where he can be right, but there definitely are also cases where his skaters benefited and he (surprisingly) didn't say anything. If he would truly want just more precise scoring, he shouldn't push himself into a position of pure victim and make it "me the rightful against everyone else" thing.

Last thing I heard it was Trusova (or her dad lol) who wanted to go back to Eteri. Now it‘s Kostornaya? Okay, call me next week when it will be Zhilina. And the week after that - Rozanov and Plushenko themselves begging on “Crystal Dome‘s“ (another lol for that name) doorstep. Unless there’s anything concrete, it‘s just baseless rumours.

Also was does this thing about Medvedeva even mean? Released from what/where? Where should she go? Back to Canada? No way, unless she plans to stay there and has given up on shows/international competitions. They‘d ruin her image/reputation even more than they did last time. She‘ll stay there until the end of her careee and earn some good money when she retires. God knows she‘s earned it after all she went through.

As for Plushenko: The problem with this guy is that he has a legitimate point. The selective scoring happening in Russia right now (and, as a reflection, in international competitions, too, though still to a lesser degree) is taken to such a degree it‘s almost ridiculous. It‘s always been like this but in recent years it‘s gone overboard. But the way he goes about it makes it impossible to take him seriously. He‘s ruining his own skaters‘ chances with his scandalous behavior and ultimately, he will change nothing.

Unless he has concrete proof of bribery, it‘s completely foolish to make such accusations. It‘s good someone‘s not blind to what‘s going on right now. It‘s not good when this someone makes a fool of himself and ruins any future credible attempt to expose the problems.

You may disagree with the particular form he chose to express his discontentment, but it is undeniable that egregious double standards favoring Tutberidze students were applied at Russian Nationals that go beyond mere subjectivity. As in the Salt Lake City case, this breach of ethics on the judges' part needs to be publicly exposed and condemned -- whether it occurred due to financial inducements or other type of pressures. I applaud Plushenko for fighting for his students' rights. With all due respect to Mishin, his passivity when Liza T. was unfairly deprived of the opportunity to compete at Worlds was extremely disappointing.

My friend is a judge and he said sometimes parents of skaters came to him and asked him to go easy on their kids in competitions. Those were small and domestics competitions and he was just a judge at a low level. Still.... well yeah I agree it might happen. But we can not say "this competition is rigged" without proof. So people would take Plushenko serious only when he showed true evidence. And I am afraid this is a tall order.
