Love Kaori but I’m happy they called her lutz edge. Maybe she’ll change her solo jump back to loop in the short.

I refuse to believe that Rika with a 4S only beats Kaori by 2 points or so, if we assume that the single 3A makes up for a lack of 3Lz (which it actually more than makes up for).

If Rika lands the quad sal and triple axel, there's going to be little competition unless she totally fails the rest of her program.

She landed the quad and the triple axel, and she was still only about five points higher than Kaori's free.

She barely performed that routine. I can also say Rika concentrated more on jumps but Kaori did the same

it seems a little weird though that she was only 4 points higher than Kaori who doesn't have any of the hardest elements. I always feel Rika is very much unappreciated by the judges in Japan. Kaori has more flair I think but technically Rika is much better.

I thought Yuzu deserved a bit higher for his free and short, but it was pretty accurate. But Rika just landed a quad. A QUAD. And it was a close competition. What happened? Support your top skaters, JSF.

Kaori's Lutz got called e, 3A got called under. Rika also lost some points from the 3Lz -> 2A and levels, it seems. I'm not too fussed about Satoko's PCS being a bit under where it should be since she should have had much more TES called.
