Surely Sinitsyna is out by now, and Nugu ahead of those two Mishin girls
I'm no so sure. Mishin is still powerful. And when it comes to World Standings, nothing will happen this year so the old WS might stand for next season. That means that Sofia's three year old European victory keeps her in the National Team.

So, you can go then and talk on the platforms where accusations are allowed and where this type of coversation is 'normal'.
Freedom of speech is obviously not the the strength of this forum.

Anna performance was brilliant and probably her best ever (pcs wise).she deserved her win so much.

But indeed it leaves some doubts or suspicion how this is possible. But of course no facts/proof

😷

Sorry, if you don't like my opinion. I respect that you don't like my opinion and I will be quiet now.
But your opinion basically accused Anna of doping. To do this in real life is a form of slander.

I don't want to see the best free skate competitions in recent history of ladies figure skating be tainted by anything. You of course are entitled to your opinion but please don't be offended if people take offense at your opinion.

Some people seem to be frustrated that it went the way it went: the most impressive last group in the FS history. That's the only logical explanation of 20 pages or so of the very same messages from the very same people. Who said what, who lied about what, etc. But the real takeaway is that the quad revolution started by TT is going on at full swing, that Russian ladies are as strong as ever and are poised to be even stronger in the future. Japan is clearly lagging behind. Rika is the only threat. And it is not enough to have one skater against the constellation. So all this ranting all those fake concerns won't mask the truth. Russian ladies at this moment are undoubted leaders. And yes, it's good that they, their families and their teams stay clear off zealous fans looking through "their laundry".
The Russian skaters are leaders, no doubt about that. It is also fascinating to see three clean back to back performances with two quads by each.

The only criticism is the system behind. No other federation can keep up with Russia because a skater like Loena Hendrickx in Belgium doesn't have the same ice time, the same financial support, the same power in the federation ecc.

At some point, as a viewer and a fan, I can't take it anymore. Rippon quads, transitions squeezed in everywhere and a 16- year-old who almost collapsed after the SP. These are still children. Of course the training methods work out but every year skaters flee from Tutberidze. Once a skater has had his moment of glory and can't take the massive pressure and work amount anymore, she will get replaced by another one. And you feel the pressure and the drill in the eyes of all these skaters. Tutberidze said in an interview that they have created their "own products". Sorry, but 16 year old children are no products.

But this is the problem: My sketched power rankings for that team after RusNats:

1. Anna SHCHERBAKOVA
2. Kamila VALIEVA
3. Aleksandra TRUSOVA
4. Alyona KOSTORNAYA
5. Daria USACHEVA
6. Elizaveta TUKTAMYSHEVA
7. Evgenia MEDVEDEVA
8. Alina ZAGITOVA (if she feels like it)
9. Maya KHROMYKH
10. Elizaveta NUGUMANOVA

And just behind Nugu a couple of Mishin girls (Samodurova, Gulyakova) and couple of Davydov girls (Tsibinova, Frolova) and maybe Talalaikina. I'm just thinking of Nugu here. She really wants those GP spots and I want her to have them.
It's a tough decision, definitely. People can say whatever they want about the RusFed, but I wouldn't want to be in their skin when it comes to such decisions, because it is literally impossible to make a decision about a team that some won't consider unfair to this or that skater.

Are you criticizing RusFed that Loena does not have enough ice time?

Probably you should stop watching sport then. No pain no gain - this is true in almost any sport.
It is not a slave camp, they are free to go, Tutberidze does not keep them chained. If they cannot tolerate training anymore - they leave and I do no see any issue here. Elite sport is definitely not a "normal" life.

Is there any idea how the RusFed will decide next season National team members and GP spots after this weird season? Before the Nationals Nugumanova was talking about getting in to the top 9 and that her goal was to make the team for next season. And most likely, this is a big part of why she cried so much at Kiss and Cry (Ted, of course they were tears of happiness!) But considering Alyona and Zhenya not being there, surely it won't be that simple.
The decision process is going to be really really tough, that’s for sure.
If they base it solely on Nationals, they’re going to have to put Liza N. on the main team, and Liza T. In the reserve. I doubt this will happen. With all due respect, Liza N. won’t even get a GP, because she doesn’t have a SB (from what I remember).

I think 3A, Kamila, Liza T. will be on the main team. Probably Daria as well, especially if she learns a 3A. That’s 6.

Then Maiia and Liza N. might be in the reserve team.

Out of the rest, Evgenia and Alina are somewhat special cases. Both didn’t compete, yet Rusfed throwing them out of the team would probably look bad on Rusfed. I don’t think these 2 girls need any money from the federation, but federation will have every interest to keep supporting their biggest skating stars.

The big question for me is Ksenia Sinitsina. She’s obviously been out the whole season, but she’s a very promising skater with 3A in the making, who might as well challenge to be in top3. Would Rusfed put some funding for her, at least as a junior team member?

Unfortunately, your statement is not entirely true. What happens when you want to go or when you go, we were able to admire again in the recent past. Dirt campaigns and slander on the Internet by TT and its fans and a disadvantageous evaluation by judges in the form of interest representatives.

Accusing Anna of doping is too far imo. If she's doping, then they're all doping and you can't really watch Russian figure skating in good conscience.

Eteri has worked extremely hard to build her team up to where it is. I think it's unlikely she would openly break the rules like that considering how good she is at optimising programs for points. If Anna was taking medicine, I imagine it would have been a legal one eg. She might have been prescribed a preventative inhaler or had painkillers.

Maybe Anna was feeling better because she did not have a fever before the free skate the way she did before the short program. Try to work out if you have a temperature of a 100゚ or more let alone do a tough 3 minute skate after pneumonia.

Perhaps Tylenol is not banned by wada and perhaps Anna took some Tylenol after the short program and before the free skate. Tylenol and Aleve work for me to control a fever so why not Anna?

No doubt Anna was lucky to even skate the SP because in an International event she probably would have been removed running a fever and temparature.

Exactly. I know it from the fight. :) I received such punch that even now twenty years later I feel it on my teeth (some parts of them are out) but thanks to adrenaline I didn't feel it at all till the fight ended.

After all, on the press conference, when they asked on Anna's health, Anna replied "currently I'm still on adrenaline so I can't say now." And whatever the critics say, that's how it works with the top athletes.
You got in a fight and got punched in the mouth? This must be when you were rowdy soccer fan of something and not a fan of the elegant sport or figure skating. ;)

That's a different story, all these situations were not about "TT trained me so hard so I cannot tolerate it and decided to leave". Eugenia, Sasha, Alena, Yulia never said that they wanted to leave TT because it was so hard there.

Alena actually even said the opposite, she was pissed off by younger girls who did not train well enough.

Yes, T is not an example of a wise woman and she does not take easily ppl leaving her. But still she does not force ppl to stay.
It's just pointless, it does not work - you cannot achieve good results with a teenager who does not want to train hard.

Lmao I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. Am I talking nonsense and inhalers and painkillers are banned?

Well, there are all the (not even russian) swimmers with asthma and they make it work somehow, so sure there are legal and doping free ways for this.

And all of a sudden it's not allowed to talk about Anna's health, when mental and physical health is the only thing that is always being discused in sport  Yeah, her fans now feel pressured because they know how ignorant her choice was and now they want to shut down everybody who dares to mention it
And btw, at 16, you're not a child anymore

Actually I was not being sarcastic for once. my point was she may have taken an aspirin to lower the temperature or fever she had before the SP. I mean if you have a fever of a 101 aren't you going to take aspirin to lower that fever? Our athletes not supposed to take Tylenol aleve or advil? The reason and a skated so much better in the free skate as because she probably got a fever reducing asperine to take that's perfectly legal in the world.
