With so many singles ladies & girls acquiring quads, and occasional migration from singles to pairs, surely a quad sbs is only a matter of time? (This idle question is perhaps slightly out of place here.) This is assuming an equally capable partner. It's not against the rules, I suppose? Is there any history of success with 3A sbs?
Well Sasha and Yuzu did a SBS 4T once

Interesting to mention Sasha Trusova'd stopped the active training few days ago and left the camp for vacations (seems like Egypt or similar).
I was expecting her to undergo medical and recuperating procedures.
What? Egypt?

Has this been confirmed? I hope that she would not go on vacation anywhere outside of Russia in the middle of a pandemic. But she had her family never finish their Egyptian vacation from last year did they?

No question the girl trains so hard works out so hard skate so hard she need some time off.

I think she has just performed in Plushenko's show.

And I doubt it took place in Egypt. :)

Little strange that she was jumping though both in the show and at the Nationals exhibition - according to her coach she was injured at Rostelecom cup and was still injured to the point that she can't do any quads outside of lutz and had to get injections to be able to do those jumps at Nationals which was a month after the GP event, seems a bad idea to be jumping in less than ideal lighting (I remember Scott Hamilton talking about having to get used to jumping outside of competition lighting) when it doesn't matter and the skater is injured to the extent it's limiting their jumps and requiring injections to be able to do the jumps they can do in competition. Its also a wasted opportunity to grow her artistry in an environment that doesn't need to have jumps, make her rely on something other than jumps to entertain the crowd. I remember Sasha Cohen's exhibition "Don't Rain on My Parade", she didn't do any competition style jumps, she did some jump splits and a little hop here and there to the music (most of the time, in case someone finds a video where she did do jumps) and it was so entertaining that you didn't miss the jumps.

Probably not.

The fit of her going on vacation may have been erroneous. I would have to think so and I would have to think Egypt or any other country it's not going to be accepting foreigners in a pandemic.

And all in all RusNats was +0.24 better in tech than at JO (there is a small error in your table, the FCSp at JO was GOE 0.73)

The two extra quads at JO gave her
4S instead of 2A - +7.07
4T+3S combo instead of 3F+3S combo - +3.53

But she loses at JO
4T+3T instead of 4Lz+3T - -4.80
3Lz+3Lo UR at JO - -3.86

The rest of the difference is about +2 extra points in GOE for all the other elements combined at RusNats which is fair as that performance was much better overall.

The four landed quads at JO looks impressive on paper, but it really wasn't. Her layout at RusNats had a smarter layout with two 4Lzs and she was clean. And her score at RusNats could have been better if she didn't have that ! call on the Flip and lost levels on steps and a spin.

Overall I think the comparison shows that it's much better to go smart and clean (RusNats) than quad frantic and just clean-ish (JO).

oops.

Some clips of Sasha and of Stanislava Konstantinova skating at Plushenko's show:

Sasha's cantilever is always impressive! Love Stasya and Elena Ilinykh getting into a swan face-off of spirals and spins.
The plushenko shows are something else and that's one of the attractions to going PA.
Stasya for example will be amazing in shows.

Thanks for the video VV but I wanna see the whole show. ;)

I can't believe Sazha could still do that cantalever since she's not 80 pounds any more. We know her back is feeling good.

In TSL‘s recent video, they claimed Alina has a boyfriend now..? Can anyone confirm this?
Can't confirm this. If true I say good. If not true I say good. I keep hoping we will see Alina again skate competitively even if she's only a second tier Russina. She will still be able to score around 230 points and make podiums and Grand Prix finals.. She would be add a slightly higher level then Dasha in my opinion. That's still a very very high level.

I don‘t get how she manages to be this good! Like, most Russian ladies do pretty well in their off-ice choreographies but Anna really looks like a professional dancer.

I wonder what a more up-beat program would look like with her skating? I remember her stating that she feeds off the energy of the new ending in her FS, so maybe something fun would give her an extra boost? Don‘t think they‘ll experiment next season, with it being the Olympic year, but maybe the year after that?

I agree with this. It‘s great she got the opportunity to skate in the show but if she‘s still injured, she should have been resting...

But I have to say I really liked her gala version of the FS. The spikes came back and she looked totally relaxed overall.

Now I wonder how Aliona is doing. No news from her on the ice anywhere and I‘m starting to get worried. :(

She did have a street dance ex last season and was fantastic!
