Yes, indeed it is. :)
For someone with good technique and no excessive pre-rotation. :D
Love this too:
I don't like this piece as much it's too noisy.

On here I believe it was mentioned that the Fed publicly made a negative comment about Kostornaia's FS; if they have made a negative comment in public I would assume that the private comments were worse.
I think it was mistranslated, they made a comment about her performance/shape and that she needs to polish the program, since there was not much time left before Nationals.

TBH I think it's BS both the rules that junior ladies can't do a 3A in the SP and that ladies in general can't do quads in the SP. It's very sexist! People will tell you that it's "to preserve their bodies" but how are you preserving them by pushing them to do 3A-3T instead of 3A, and to add multiple quads in the FS when they can sort of split it a bit between SP and FS. I'm kinda pissed.

Anyway, definitely not sure how Samodelkina's combo was judged as a combo. 😅 Anyway, I liked her performance.
And the way Akatieva saved the combo. :jaw:
I liked Muravieva's skate from the performance aspect better earlier in the season.
Berestovskaya's performance always makes me grin. There are major posture issues but there's something about watching her that makes me feel good.

It's not to preserve their bodies. I think the reason is usually that very few junior ladies do 3A, and they want to balance the required elements in the SP (the 2A is considered a rite of passage for skaters). Similar reason for junior men to not be allowed to do quads in the SP.

Quads in the SP aren't allowed either for the same reason for ladies, barely anyone did them until recently. 3A was still allowed only after more than 20 years since Ito landed it, when Asada started showing it consistently. Eventually the change will come. All the changes with the men were also gradual, as the elements were attempted more and more.

This was for the boys, don't worry, you didn't miss the ladies.
That was boys

Girls free in 1 hour 22 minutes
Thank you both! But alas, I am still going to miss the girls; I have training then! 😭 May they all skate well, may they land all their jumps, and may they all be happy with their performances.

Does anyone know what year Eteri joined Sambo-70? (I believe it wasn't immediately after she returned from the United States.)

Similarly, in what years did Sergei and Daniil join her there? (I believe for Daniil it was 2014?)

I get it, but I still think it's sexist.
Anyway, the rules should change from for example having to do a 2A, to at least a 2A, etc.

I admit I have no idea who the girl leading after the sp is. All I know is she's a plushenko girl. I was expecting a different leader, akatieva, as she is much loved; when that didn't happen i expected adelia to lead, but that didn't happen either! Interesting, I like the unexpected in figure skating.
Mmm I wouldn't say Muravyova's an unknown, she's been top 6 for her age group consistently for several years. She would have been at JGP I'm sure, being the second-strongest for the age group after Samodelkina currently.

Mostly known as a PCS skater with not-so-great jumps. But if she actually has a proper 4T then that changes pretty much everything.

Which turn? The only thing that looked a bit out of place to me in the step sequence was the loop (backward outside loop I think?) where I think she overrotated it.

I think you mean Anna. Yeah, she's always been underscored. Poor girl deserved higher in the Russian Nationals Free Skate IMO. But I honestly think a good majority of the snow leopards deserve the scores they get. They have great basics and skating skills and very good jumps as well. If anything they're underscored internationally.
Yeah, thank you. I'm not sure where "Maria" even came from. Sotskova? Well, same group but that's pretty random, whoops.

But yeah I've thought that Anna Frolova's been underscored since I saw her, while she was with Snow Leopards I enjoyed her more than several others who kept getting scored higher than her.

On Snow Leopards, I think they tend to have good skating skills but they all have that disconnected artistry that I wouldn't rate super highly. It's better than having no artistry but I wouldn't say any of them are at a super high level either... I'm not sure what it is but I feel like snow leopards seem to hurt a skater's individuality, many of them are quite same-y as skaters. Perhaps it's the training environment...
