Btw, not sure it was already translated anywhere, but yesterday during her interview Adelia said she loves giving interviews so much, that she practices answering questions with her mom to prepare herself! Ahahah, that’s so cute!

Would have loved for her to repeat the SP, it deserves to be seen on the international scene. Not a fan of this program...or perhaps I was just expecting Kalinka which I sorta love. Was impressed by everyone-including Zhillina-(she removed a number of steps from her program-some of which I loved-not sure why). One of my favorites was Maria P.-wow- Sad for Sophia S, but she will come back better next year, and please lord, with new programs. Also I am just so happy Liza B took out the quad toes. They were so inconsistent, almost always UR or q and just overall not great quality. Not a huge fan of this FS (it's supposed to be a clown FS?) but overall a very good showing for her too.
I would prefer the repeat of the SP too.If I understood correctly, Daniil said Bolero will be Kamila‘s Olympic program. (Don‘t know why my automatic translations says something about Don Quixote, though?)
Can‘t say I‘m too happy about that tbh, I kind of hate that program.Would have loved for her to repeat the SP, it deserves to be seen on the international scene.
I loved Kalinka so much too. The step sequence was just so much fun and her over-the-top expressions worked so well. Not a fan of this program...or perhaps I was just expecting Kalinka which I sorta love. I’m ecstatic. I’ve watched the Nationals performance more times than I can count. If I understood correctly, Daniil said Bolero will be Kamila‘s Olympic program. (Don‘t know why my automatic translations says something about Don Quixote, though?)

Because he does say stuff about Don Quixote there(Don‘t know why my automatic translations says something about Don Quixote, though?)
Agree with all points, her SP is both beautiful and unique, while her Bolero is going to be maybe 3rd best Bolero performed at the Olympics. DG is comparing it to Don Quixote, but it was a much better Olympic program than Bolero. If I understood correctly, Daniil said Bolero will be Kamila‘s Olympic program. It's because he says they are fine with that as they were with DQ or something in that sense. If I understood correctly, Daniil said Bolero will be Kamila‘s Olympic program. (Don‘t know why my automatic translations says something about Don Quixote, though?)

And her SP music is composed by Eric Radford, isn‘t it? Imagine skating at the Olympics, fighting for Gold, while skating to music by another Olympic champion! Now I‘m even more sad we won‘t get to see this moment.Agree with all points, her SP is both beautiful and unique, while her Bolero is going to be maybe 3rd best Bolero performed at the Olympics. Yes, I'm sure Eric would be very proud! His 'Storm' piece is really great. Meanwhile not only Ravel isn't alive to witness this moment, he himself didn't like Bolero that much. And her SP music is composed by Eric Radford, isn‘t it? Agreed, it's not a very good program. But meh, it's not the worst program imaginable. Definitely not worth a repeat in my eyes, but that's not a disaster. If I understood correctly, Daniil said Bolero will be Kamila‘s Olympic program. Storm is already two years old. I doubt third year of it can be successful. Kamila should be already bored with it.Yes, I'm sure Eric would be very proud! His 'Storm' piece is really great. Meanwhile not only Ravel isn't alive to witness this moment, he himself didn't like Bolero that much.
The SP program is quite different than the exhibition last season. Only the music is the sameStorm is already two years old. I doubt third year of it can be successful. Kamila should be already bored with it.
Exactly!! Ravel is a really amazing composer with some gorgeous pieces of music. Why chose Bolero? The piece he, himself, doesn't even like all that much? Why not pavane pour une infante defunte or adagio of his piano concerto? And Debussy I feel might be the perfect choice for Kamila. (Please no more Clair de Lune though). I could see her skating so well to something like Prelude a l'apres midi d'un faune.I'd rather Valieva kept her SP, I guess, but tbh she deserves better music for it. And the LP definitely needs to change in my view. Wonder how she'd do with a different Ravel, or a Debussy.
Yep. The beginning she performs well. Afterwards it's just some random skating with Kamila doing some moves that she's done in all her programs so far. To me the choreo doesn't really have anything to do with the music. It's packed so full that the program feels quite empty to me.My main issue with Bolero isn't even the music or the choreo or the packed transitions - it's that the program doesn't show off Kamila's strengths.
For Olympic season the packaging of skaters' programs is very important. You want programs that can hide your weaknesses, show your strengths and be memorable. I honestly don't think Bolero does any of those three things for Kamila.
Take Don Quixote for example, it showed off Alina's technical prowess by building up to the second half. It hid her weaker skating skills by giving her a slower step sequence that allowed her to make sure to hit all edges and turns. And it was certainly very memorable. But Bolero... it doesn't show off Kamila's extensions nor her elegance, it doesn't hide her weaker edge depth nor her rushed movements, and it is honestly only memorable to be because I dislike it. There's not one moment I remember (except for the beginning) with a lot of detail.
