Yeah that's the goal. Is it achievable? Let's see.
She's achieved 3 quads already in the past. And I bet if this was world championsips today, she would probably go for them, considering her previous record and friday's jump competition, where she was practically flawless. It was obvious she's still not fully recovered, so it wasn't worth to risk more than necessary, But there are still nearly two months ahead.

I meant is it achievable to add either the 4th quad or a 3A.

This all does answer the question of why let Kamila especially compete as a senior for everything this year though haha. (Domestically at least.) Daria too - even without a 3A or quad - she's still a threat and is capable of outscoring everyone but Sasha even when they're clean. Maiia well it'll come, hopefully, and even still she did get 5th at RusNats - that's not insignificant at 14 and she did outscore European and Worlds champions. Plenty of decorated skaters have tied that or placed lower and they weren't 14 and too young to be senior internationally.

Kamila is in pretty good shape for next season. She'll probably work on another type of quad just to give herself some room, but she doesn't "need" it. But also, puberty will likely hit. I already see her growing a lot this season. She's been dealing with it quite well so far (rippon to fix wabbly axis...), I just hope she doesn't grow too much. Her body type reminds me of Alina (they're also both Tatars ethnically) and she clearly develops a bit early than Alina.

On the other hand, puberty has been treating Sasha and Anya nicely...
Anya seems to have the body type that just doesn't grow too much - Anya's mom is also quite slim.
Sasha - gained mostly muscles, and I think she has the chance of having the longest skating career among these ladies (she mentioned in some interview that she wants to do 2 Olympics?)

Anyhow...right now it seems like these three will be the strongest contender for next year's Olympics!

I agree with that.

Anna is naturally slim, it helps in the world of figure skating. But this also make her more fragile to possible injuries. I definitely had to experience that myself, I am a gymnast, and I am naturally thinner than most other female gymnasts, I get things don't perhaps easier due to my low weight, but I also don't have the power and strength others have, and most importantly endurance. I burn out if I have competitions after competitions. I think Anna has this problem too, she is not as explosive as the others, and a FS is like squeezing so much energy out of her to a point it scares you. I think it will help her to build more muscle.

Sasha's body type is quite muscular. It helps her to gain more powerful. And I mean her abs are just dream!!! I see her sustaining her quads longer, and that enables her to have a longer career too. She's gain weight that's for sure, and height, but she maintains very good strength to weight ratio which is what helps her. Body wise.

Kamila and Alina do have very similar body types. Alina's puberty didn't really hit until the latter half of her Olympic season. But Kamila have clearly hit hers. In my opinion, puberty might not be very nice to them, Alina definitely struggled. They are a bit more curvier compared to a lot of other very skinny Russian girls.

With the younger girls it's hard to visualise their body types because at this stage they are still very tiny.

I do wonder though, how many of these girls have eating disorders? I imagine Evgenia did to some level, and I still worry about her health. she looked so so much healthier when she went to Orser and genuinely happy for once. I remember in the documentary when their food intake and weight was talked about, and it just didn't feel healthy to me. Most athletes struggles with it to some level. I never had to struggle with my weight, but when I hit puberty it was still a problem, and I did eventually developed an ED. I was actually the skinny one, but it doesn't matter, ED has so prevalent in athletes.

I meant is it achievable to add either the 4th quad or a 3A.

I think she could certainly add a triple axel, however I would prefer it in the SP where she's more evenly scored so that she doesn't have to add another quad/triple axel to the FS; too many difficult elements and I think there would be a loss of the performance part due to focusing on the elements.

It's probably not going to happen, but I'd like Russia to name Sasha, Zagorski/Guerreiro and Boikova/Kozlovski to Worlds after this. Let the remaining spots be decided at the Russian cup final (So probably Alyona, SinKat, Mishina/Galliamov)

I don't know what to say about men.

I think men is where the issues/politics/drama lies. I think they want to send Dimitri (he is the reigning Euros champion and both Euros singles champions might not make Worlds :( ) or Sasha but Mark is making that hard. I love him too. I wish the men had 3 spots although even then someone who deserved to go and would anywhere else won't. :(

Was Anna perfectly okay after her skate? Is she still physically recovering, tired when put under extreme stress? Looked a bit strange in the latter stages of her program and when she came of the ice

Pneumonia can take a while to recover from, based on interviews she wasn't doing program run-throughs before Nationals, so she likely is still gaining back her stamina. Add in that she had a hand down on a quad to stop a fall probably contributed to the breathing hard that we saw after her FS; it was reminiscent of her SP at nationals where right at the end she lost her balance going into a spin vs. her FS at Nationals where she didn't have an error her breathing was still hard (though they all breathe hard after their FS) but not like it was after her SP. If it was solely an issue of something with her lungs due to pneumonia than at Nationals after her FS she should have been breathing much harder than she was (plus, she was crying there as well) and likewise here at her SP she would have been breathing quite hard.

I think Zagorski/Guerreiro are pretty sure for worlds. They have three spots in ice dance so the probable scenario is S/K, S/B and Z/G. Pairs will be difficult to choose. T/M are clear, but the other three teams have all the chance. I want M/G at worlds, though so far every time when it looked the best for them they made some poor performance. P/K seem generally the weakest of the four pairs, but contrary to M/G they can deliver when it matters. As I say, it will be very hard at the cup final.

Ladies, I can't see any other variant then Anna and Sasha, the only remaining question is who will be the third.

I won't speculate about men, though

Very nice event, with warm and friendly atmosphere. Such a refreshing thing after intense competitions.

I didn’t think Kamila would be able to put 3A in the FS this soon, but she went out and did that. I wonder if she’ll try to do 2*3A in the FS?

This event went really well for her. She landed that gorgeous 3A in the SP, with that out of the way, she‘s in a very good position going into the next year.

yes she did it in both SP and free. Maybe she‘ll try a 3A in combination but she has to be confortable with her 3A first.

Anyway, her programs are enough challenging. She doesn’t need to add more difficulties.
