KhrustalnyiWhere's the photo from?
However, your list above includes a lot of wishful thinking.
No, that's The BossIs that Aliona?
Very happy for her, all that potentialFor anyone interested, I've gotten confirmation from Elena Kostyleva's mother, Irina, that she has in fact rejoined Team Tutberidze.
Well done to whoever first spotted her in that dance training video yesterday.![]()
Hahahaha! Well, Rozanov leaving was indeed a blessing in disguise, who would’ve thought last year. For anyone interested, I've gotten confirmation from Elena Kostyleva's mother, Irina, that she has in fact rejoined Team Tutberidze.

Just to offer some arguments for Aliona getting the 3A back:And I think there's little justification at this point for continuing to assume that Aliona will regain her 3A. It's been over a year now since we last saw her land a clean 3A, and we know she hasn't been landing them in practice, or else Plushenko would have posted video of it in a heartbeat, knowing how they operate.
I have much more confidence in a skater like Daria adding a 3A and/or 4S in the offseason than Aliona regaining her 3A after over a year of being unable to regain it.
Hahahaha! Well, Rozanov leaving was indeed a blessing in disguise, who would’ve thought last year.
I wonder if Polina Tsurskaya will be working with her, I think she will be great for working with Lena. Polina seems to be very kind and attentive with kids, and she has so many great qualities she can hopefully teach.
My feelings exactly! Funny enough, I asked Lena's mother about Polina, as well, but haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know if I get an update.
Not sure there was that much to take credit for. I’m sure he contributed in a lot of ways, but I think that many students leaving him in a matter of months speaks louder than words.he left Team Tutberidze cause they were taking all the credits for his work
She already left AoP around new year’s time along with Ryabova, Stasya’s being coached by Butsaeva now.Konstantinova should consider going back to Chebotareva or changing again

But what was the question? No, that's The Boss![]()

literally anything can happen between now and the olympics. things may be looking to go in a certain direction, but things change in figure skating on the flip of a dime, and probably 90% of the time what we think will happen does not actually happen. That's fair, but even if you take away Daria 3A/4S, Kseniia, and Anna with a 3A, you still have five skaters, most if not all of whom will have multiple ultra-c elements.
Aliona without 3A would not only have to beat them, but would also be fighting with Daria, Kseniia, and the rest of a field that may or may not have ultra-c elements. It's...not gonna happen.
And the sad thing is that the only reason Aliona with 3A (which, again, I'm skeptical will even happen) would beat some of these girls is the ISU inexcusably dragging its feet on allowing ladies to jump quads in the SP.
if she returns to previous form, i'm sorry to say but Liza will not stand a chance. Aliona was far ahead of her all 19/20 season, and that was the year she even tried a 4T. Sasha still has inconsistencies. there are no guarantees for anyone and the chances of the entire Russian national team showing up healthy, uninjured and all with consistent ultra elements next season is likely not realistic at all.I think Alena would be just fine if she gets the triple axel back. Let’s be realistic here....her scores aren’t that far off from Tutks, even with her not skating her best and Tukt showing her maximum. It is far from over for Alena If she gets healthy and back on track.
There is no guarantee for any of the skaters to remain healthy and injury free. It’s sport and life also happens.
I worry more about the reports of Alena being a spoiled diva that have been circulating. I hope they’re untrue, but where there’s smoke there is fire- so they say. Either way her skating is beautiful.
Eteri may be smart with her training methods. By all accounts she teaches them to focus on the next competition and doesn’t seem to allow them to get too wrapped up in victory and being the #1 queen bee.
I don't think there's a point in trying to read into any of their words, Russian coaching is a political mess. When we officially have a yes or no, then hopefully we'll also have a reason (whether "real" or not it can be debated then).![]()
Plushenko says there are no contractual obligations, neither with the academy nor the sponsors. So, either he is lying or TeamTutberidze used it as an excuse/explanation not to take Aliona back. Or there is another issue entirely - but which? Aliona‘s officially still with Sambo70, there should be no problem.
