I guess training with someone else is what will breach the contract. So possibly until it ends she can’t train anywhere aside from AoP, and Yana won’t allow her to train with AoP. If she doesn’t train for months, even if the duration just the end of the season, she’ll probably lose her shape and will have a hard time going back to competing.
Although then the question is, can Yana prevent her from training there until her contract ends? She could continue training at AoP for a month and then leave. But I have a suspicion this might not have been a 1 year contract.

I guess we are about to find out how much RusFed really values Aliona. And/or what the chances are for her to make a full recovery and return to form.

If they believe in her I'm calling it now - RusFed has a private chat with Yana & Plush. Promises are exchanged. Suddenly Yana announces that an agreement has been reached to the satisfaction of all parties but due to an ironclad NDA no-one can discuss even the slightest detail.
Yes this is quite a possibility.

That’s obviously what she should be doing and probably is doing already if she really can’t stomach going back to AOP. However, being able to find fault in a contract and get out of it is not only a lengthy and expensive process, but also assumes there is actual fault in the contract. For all we know the entire thing may be above board. In any case her predicament is way above the pay grade of this forum and unless someone ponies up some $$$ or AOP forgets about the whole thing (fat chance) she will need some serious legal help to sort it all out.
But it isn't feasible. No rink could take a skater when they have a legal cloud hanging over them. It's a massive distraction, and just imagine she loses and is drowned in debt from legal costs, and possible compensation. Also the risk that they are participating in something illegal if Aliona isn't supposed to be leaving this way.

The only good thing in all of this is that Aliona has made zero public comments at all so far. That can help her.

And strangely, this feels like bad news for Trusova too.
I agree. On the surface, one could think, "more time and attention for Trusova". But if you think about it, Eteri's students do benefit from her reputation and her power. The more top students she has, the more reputation and power she has, and that gets funneled back into their scores. If Plushenko or Mishin had full teams of top ladies, they could start earning their students a "Plushenko/Mishin bonus". But for now, the judges are under no pressure to give Sasha or Elizaveta any benefit of the doubt or help.

But this doesn't cohere though? If Kostornaia cannot pay her way out just because her season isn't over (technically), then maybe she can wait till the next season begins and then go? Did talking to a different coach in and of itself trigger some violation...?
As I said, neither me nor anyone else on this site know what the legal terms in the contract are. We just know that there is a contract and that, according to one party, one or more of said legal terms were breached. We can just only imagine what was written in it and what Aliona did that breached the contract that was in place for her in order to be admitted at AoP. The easiest thing to imagine is that a certain duration of the mutual cooperation was established and her attempt to change coaches (even before the window opening) triggered the breach in some way. Again, it is just an assumption based on nothing and probably we will never be able to know the details because of the likely NDA that Aliona was probably made to sign before joining AoP.

So the amount is indeed unbearable for Aliona huh... I think Stasya spilled the beans a little that even using a treadmill there cost her 10k roubles per month. So they probably charge separately for every little thing, like an American hospital.
this is what you got for a private hospital or school, you have to pay for everything
