1. Trial period until the end of the season and also Eteri is waiting for a triple axel
2. Eteri said that Diana persuaded Eteri to take Alena back

Some quotes:

"I couldn't bring myself to work 100% at AoP"

"After the Russian Cup i realized that i had to go and apologize, because 6th place is a disaster"

"I began to smile more but not where it needed"
I really do get the impression that when she switched there was a lot of structure and routine that was lost, and maybe leading to a loss in motivation. That could also be attributed to not training alongside your top rivals day in and day out. I think she knew that going back to what first made her successful is what she needs to be competitive with Sasha, Kamila and Anna.

I'm proud of her for owning up to her mistakes and apologizing, that shows growth as a person and maturity.

I also think Eteris requirements are absolutely reasonable, I just hope they focus on recovery and health before she goes full bore into 3As again.

Trial period is something. It’s better than nothing. But props to Aliona’s bravery to go and ask Eteri herself. Probably wasn’t easy to go to her after what was said and done. Especially at her age.
Yep, girl did everything herself, in person. She said alone to Eteri she was leaving and she came alone ask if she could return. While others didn't do that.
It takes some balls.

On a lighter note, Trusova at the Mishin event.

Hm I actually quite like the choreographic changes. The only change I'm not a fan of is taking out the twizzles after the first right foot rocker-counter-counter cluster. I really like that cluster for some reason.

While I'm sad this is the first time we haven't seen the cantilever (I think? maybe I just missed it) in a program I have to say it makes sense. A cantilever doesn't fit in this program.

Anyways Sasha's jumps look effortless and lovely as always and the spins look great too! She looks to be in a great shape for worlds!

I'm very sad we won't be able to see Alyona perform her new FS to the best of her ability. The step sequence is definitely the best one she's had since Adios Nonino and we'll never see her actually do it well...

I can only hope the team gives her an even better FS though Daniil will have a lot on his plate next season with Anna + Kami + Daria + Maiia + Alyona + Sofia A + Adeliya + Liza B, with the first five definitely needing excellent programs and the last three preferably getting great programs too, as it's always good to make a statement in your first junior season.

Given Alyona is 1. still recovering from Covid and 2. still recovering from injury I feel like forcing her to train 3A as quickly as possible isn't exactly the safest decision but I'm no coach.

I just hope Alyona can be happy and healthy once more, no matter with what coach.

I don’t think it’s dependent on it, probably said just for TV, she likely just wants to ensure Aliona is disciplined and has a goal.

I‘m okay with a trial period, imo, it‘s fair enough. I just hope she doesn‘t overwork herself in the process, trying to prove something. She is, after all, still injured and needs to recover. If they do too much, too soon, it can backfire as well. Trying to make her get back that 3A now, when she’s not even healthy, I just don‘t know...

This is what I like about her. Yes, she can be impulsive and reckless and hotheaded and emotional and make questionable choices as a result. But both times, she had the courage to tell Eteri personally - first that she was leaving, then asking to come back.

Team Tutberidze magic, it just works

Well, to be fair, they wouldn‘t select footage of her falling all over the ice, would they?

Let‘s not get ahead of ourselves and expect miracles/magic. Aliona‘s not healthy yet and Eteri/Dudakov are not magicians.

I also hope Daniil doesn‘t make her keep the Billie Eilish FS for the Olympic season. I honestly just don‘t like Billie Eilish and it doesn‘t feel right for an OG season anyway.

Yeah but the whole still recovering from COVID after months, all came from Plushenko, so we dont know how much of it is an excuse for the results

I don’t like BE for figure skating either, but I think that program specifically was Aliona’s request. Not sure she has the same power to ask for things though, it’s basically like brexit.
She was in a much better position before and could demand or ask for some things, now it feels like she has lost a lot of that power being on a trial period.
I hope it works out for her, I really do. I missed old Aliona and her magic, I hope to see it again. Most of all, I hope she’s happy to be where she is :)

COVID can have effects that last months (and potentially even years — but no one knows yet). And it also effects everyone differently. Evgenia got COVID and hasn’t competed, Liza T got COVID and missed one competition. It’s hard to tell how this virus will effect different skaters...

I’m sure she feels a sense of relief to be back home. She’s young and made a very costly mistake. Sounds like it was ego related and she learned a big lesson. I hope for success in her trainings. Let’s see what being back with Eteri can do for her.
And now, on to the next drama in Russia.

What are the chances they just make her keep last year's unused programs for the Olympic season? I mean if she doesn't and learns two new ones that'll be 8 different programs in one year?:ROFLMAO: (since I can't really see them letting her keep any programs she learned at AoP)
